So Ordinary That It's Truly Quite Extraordinary

I'm not saying what Domas did was right but he was knocked to the ground and giving up a short handed break if he didn't.

Also do we want to talk about what Dray did Saturday night?

Warriors were a team I had a lot of respect for. Not now.

I'm trying to think of an analogy in the real world where all these jabronis defending Draymond are coming from.

Like, maybe Sabonis flipped somebody off while driving and in retaliation, Draymond caused a car wreck and rammed into his bumper. And the bypassers are saying "Well yeah, it was wrong of Dray to ram him in the bumper, but it wouldn't have happened if Domas didn't flip him off!!!"

Them trying to make both guys equally wrong is just sickening.

Yeah, is it possible that Mike Brown and the Kings have been sandbagging the league by playing Bottom 5 defense for 82 games?
Kinda sorta, they have been.

Not a lot of people seem to know, but their Q4 defense hasn’t been bad on the whole and inside the final 5 minutes I believe they’ve ranked inside the top 10. Or did at one time.

Due to their frenetic pace, they basically pace themselves many times then try to turn it on in Q4 and have been able to do it many times.

When they want to play defense, they can. They just need to stay focused.

I love all the justifications to try and make it look okay for Dray to curb stomp someone in an NBA basketball game. Like what the hell are we doing here? lol
While Domas does snag Draymond’s leg, I don’t see how anybody can believe it was intentional.

I’m reasonable sure of this based upon several factual things you can verify by watching the replay.

First, when the shot goes up, Draymond is several feet and players away from Domas — who has his back turned and can’t even see him. Then Domas is pushed down by Klay Thompson basically falling blindly into Draymond’s legs. He can’t really know who is there in that blink of an eye moment.

He instinctively folds his right arm over his head and face then secures his right arm by grabbing his own wrist with the other hand in an effort to protect himself (from possibly being hit/kicked in the face). Draymond’s leg becoming trapped is simply incidental.

I can understand Draymond believing that Domas is trapping him intentionally, but his reaction to it is bush league. Only he and some of his teammates are foolish to believe it was warranted.

I can see the point others are making. To me Sabonas was trying to protect his face... and maybe held on a little too long... Payback for getting sat on? Maybe.

Definitly deserving over the top retaliation.
He was trying to protect his face. As I said above, Domas falls and in that split second of falling backward and hitting the ground and seeing limbs near his face, he can’t possibly know who it is nor have the awareness to think “lemme grab this guy by securing my own right wrist with my left hand”. Not unless Domas is a trained Brazilian jiu-jitsu expert reacting instinctively to a an opponent take down ;)

I need HB to make a few more 3's, but my guy has been playing at another speed the last 2 games. He WANTS this series win, bad. Locking in on D, getting after it on the glass, he had like 3 poster dunks in game 2 alone.

And from what it sounds like, he's the guy everyone is looking to on the sideline to keep things poised.
HB has driven me crazy in past seasons with his long stretches of invisible play and passivity...

Dude has SHOWN UP this series! Loving this version of Barnes. Black Falcon indeed!

"Oh god act like you've been there before!1!111!!!"
-Warriors fans who will vociferously defend Draymond in their next post.
Man, their superstar acts like he won game 7 of the Finals when he hits a 3rd quarter jumper in November. They love it when Curry poses and shows up other teams and we can't celebrate a playoff win? I'm not hearing any of that from GS fans. They're desperate for anything to feel good about at this point. The Warriors had 4 chances to win 1 game in Sacramento and now they have 2 chances left. And they also have to win 3 at home or that doesn't even matter.

The Kings look phenomenal right now. Fox is locked in. Monk is unguardable. Sabonis is too strong for any of their smallball forwards. Curry and Klay still have to be beat, they're not going to beat themselves. That means there's more work to be done but so far you can't argue that these Kings have absolutely owned the moment. More of the same please gentlemen!
