Landing OG would be pretty great, as long as it's not an overpay. I can't even begin to think what the price might be though. Toronto obviously thinks he's worth a lot. Failing that I think Monte will find a backup big on the buy out market and we ride with the guys who led us this far.

What I'm saying is maybe hold on to them to package for someone like that GP trade that just went down as opposed to 20 games of Plumlee
Yeah, Plumlee isn't moving anything anyway at this point but someone like Bey? Shoot those 2nds out of a cannon towards Detroit. The Hawks and Nets have officially horded all the youngish wings, lol.

The bad Nurk contract is still on the books and now they have cap holds on Reddish and Thybulle that they didn't have before.
Yeah, but I figure Reddish and Thybulle will get poached this summer anyway. They have to be positioning for something unless they are just trying to save money which if true, then holding onto Dame is just pointless.

And they can't play/re-sign all of them right? So maybe that's a win for the few teams who still have tradeable assets left this summer (and/or cap space).

True but you have to want to re-sign Bey. He has been just an ok player so you are kinda hoping he puts it together as opposed to trading for the player he is now. Monte probably has identified 10 players he would like to target over the next 2 years and is keeping the eye on the prize.

Unless Eric Gordon fouls Monte McNair as he’s dialing the number of GM at 11:59am, giving him an extra 30 minutes or something..it looks like the Kings are good as is

Hopefully. Monte has kind of boxed himself in now a little though since space at the moment costs them Barnes probably. It's official, Holmes is an anchor and Monte has to get that next piece before Domas gets a max. It's just simply too hard to wheel and deal once you have 2-3 players taking up most of your cap without taking a few steps back to take some forward. Who knows what Monte is seeing but those games w/o Fox should have been an eye opener about how thin the line this team is walking actually is.

So far, almost every major move McNair had made since he became our GM has proven to be of short-term help with potential long-term gain.

Plumlee (or insert all the bigs that we discussed that could be our backup) isn't going to move us that much further than where we are now.

Agree. But I would like the Kings to make the playoffs this season. A little more ammo could help.

But we will have more trade ammo this summer during the draft.
