That's what you took from this game? Haha. I feel bad for you
nah I was just following the narrative...

We are severely limited as a team with Fox at PG. He is simply not the leader we need him to be and makes bad momentum-changing decisions. His stats are great but empty imo. I wonder what this team would look like with Hali as our PG instead of Fox

35 free throws to 20 free throws. There’s your make up game.

Liked Brown not going big with Holmes n Len and going for athleticism. Set the pace.

Big game from Lyles. That’s your 2SD anomaly.

Good game.

The defense for most of the second half was...atrocious. But we managed to tighten it up in the last few minutes. We definitely need to improve on D, but with the results so far, we really do feel like a .500 team as we stand. Better D and we should expect playoffs.
obviously you don't want to be a sieve but maybe it was energy management? because they took Cleveland's best punch and then stood their ground. If that's a strategy I don't like it, but ?

Yeah, Lyles worked into that Klay Thompson role running up off of pindowns but we can't expect that to become a thing lol. If it does though then there goes the cap space. haha.

What a great win. I feel like the Cavs did us a favor at the end….. there was enough time to play the foul game, esp with 2 timeouts outs left.

If the Cavs can get consistent SF play, they’ll be scary for the playoffs.
It was quite different finish than Orlando a few days ago, for sure. Glad I didn't have to spend 15 minutes of that.

I feel the same way. These games are all nail biters because the defensive stops are few and far between. That makes it hard to build up much of a lead. But unlike past Kings teams, this one actually does have stretches where they look very good on defense and are active in disrupting the other team's sets. Why do you think they're so hot and cold on defense right now? I've been watching and I can't put my finger on what the issue is.

Tightened it up and really held their own on the boards in the 4th after getting crushed there thru 3.

I mean who knows. He was really good last year for us in a limited role. He lost a bunch of weight if I remember right and has played with confidence all year. He already has one of the best pump fakes in the game, if he can shoot 37 or above from three and continue the solid defense he could really find his niche.

The weak link on the Cleveland team currently seems to be Garland. With all his highflying talent, he still plays a little erratic and turnover-prone.

aside from some kind of set up/trap, Brown definitely seems to have the right guys on the floor at the end of a game, barring foul trouble.

This post makes me smile because they really showed the potential to improve that defense. They gotta take pride in it the way they clearly do on the offensive end.

I can't diagnose it, but I can hope that it's got a lot to do with with still putting together Coach Brown's system. Tonight the paint defense was just a sieve most of the game, and maybe that's Cleveland finding a weakness that we can close up later, or maybe that's personnel. I kind of suspect the latter on tonight's problems. We really need that big mobile defender on this squad, that's what we're missing.
