KINGS PICKING 4TH IN 2022 NBA DRAFT!

If the Kings traded down to 6 and got a Duarte or more picks and then took who is left from Ivey, Murray and Mathurin, I wouldn’t be mad at all. That is probably as far as I trade down unless someone blows Monte away with a very, very good piece
If we don't get any of the top 5 I will be pissed! Period. Unless it's sharp and Collins then I'll live. I don't want Daniels

What is the top 5 though? Consensus is only really firm up until Ivey pretty much. One had Murray split between Detroit and Indy at one point. I agree though, to me at this point if they don't get a great deal to get to a point to select Murray then you take Ivey and figure it out later.

We've certainly been fooled by trade-deadline acquisitions ourselves in the past. :) And I don't think anyone here was mad at Buddy when he came in and shot 43% on threes for his first 2 years in a Kings uniform. Sometimes it takes awhile for the new car smell to wear off.
Detroit is up first but to me the biggest worry is with paying these guys.

Either I read your post wrong or you don't think much of Ivey. The point was in the tweet.
"haven’t heard a scout prefer Murray over Ivey, and a trade down for Sac feels tricky, considering Ivey’s perceived star potential"
Yeah, I don't think much of Ivey. My point was that he goes 10 in a strong draft like 2017 or 2021. And that's why I said he's wedged between Banchero (3) and Murray (5). I would call him technically the BPA at 4 and put him above Murray.

Hopefully it happens before you go to bed and the kings get him at a steal
If it's for Holmes and expirings yes, for Barnes, I'm going to be disappointed. The one half wing in a win now window on a no wing team on a valuable expiring for a production stretch PF with like 100 million left on his deal. I'd take Barnes/Murray over that 10 out of 10 times. However if Ivey comes along the athleticism across the board is intriguing.
