In general, it's always better to be a year early rather than a year late on these kind of situations. Yeah, losing Deebo, a top 3 offensive weapon in the NFL, sucks, but he's made it clear he doesn't want to stay with the 49ers. Rather than deal with that distraction all season (where he might potentially get hurt, or might get "figured out" with a down year), deal him at his peak value coming off an all-pro season
49ers still have a championship window, especially if you can stock up some more young talent at weaker positions (maybe look at Kyle Hamilton? If Stingley drops? one of the 3 O-line drop?). Aiyuk/Kittle/Mitchell/Sermon is still a good weapons core and you can likely still add in the draft.
