It's not the roster. The roster has been flipped countless times the past 15 years and this organization hasn't even lucked into a winning season or star player.
It comes down to how the players are developed, managed and a FO knowing when to pull the plug on something that's not working. I'm not a Fox basher, but if your star player can't get you over the top after 4 years, you move on and try again. I loved Boogie, but the Kings should have traded him when George Karl said. The organization has no foresight and definitely no guts.
The habit of the organization promoting hustle players and making talented players jump through hoops is also counterproductive. This includes what was done to Fox in his first year. Memphis didn't draft better than the Kings. They just handled their young players better. Instilled confidence in them.
I personnally won't be bashing any players on this team until the organization itself gets its act together.
Doug Christie is the right type of coach, but would hate to see his career get stymied before it gets off the ground by coaching for a dysfunctional organization.
