i agree with most of what you're saying. The harsh reality, however, is I don't think it will make much difference tonight. I know I shouldn't harp on one player, but there is a certain guard who is simply a liability every time he touches the ball...and the Bucks know it.
In the end it's still what works best regardless of outcome because that will have a huge say over the course of a season as to how well you perform and what that outcome is night to night. I still have faith in Walton but man, you just saw it to end the half. Why does it take him that long to see it? I mean, that's better than the last multitude of coaches but even the advanced stats point to what works. At some point it's like dude, open your eyes Luke. Talk to your data people. Something.

If you're going to put in JJ for defense, then why not put Dedmon in for defense as well with that last possession? You absolutely cannot allow a guy to dribble 35 feet to the basket for a layup.
Walton would rather save a Dedmon foul for late in the game as opposed to the end of the first half.

Waltons sub patterns were rock solid early in the year. He even went to 8 man when he had to. Lately it looks a lot like tinkering/showcasing to me.

Good job here. Spacing much better. He's got Giles in the post and your stretch 4 spreading it now. He still has to be ready when they go small but this is making much more sense in terms of positioning.
