Of course he makes the team better. He takes the team from a 15 win team to a 30-35 win team. However, the argument is that we have no assets to bring good players to help him. He is really the only asset we have - hence the trade talk.
If you have any ideas on how to bring a top tier guard or two here without trading DMC, we are all ears.
Nobody said he doesn't make them better. The question is could we be better with a package of players/picks that we would get for him? Also, he's never sniffed .500 ball in 7 years
When this is what it looks like when you don't play, its no wonder.
One of those common points of ignorance for a lot of peeps. Aside from LeBron, most superstars are NOT elevating complete trash to 50 windom. In fact on the title teams, the teams typically win more minutes than they lose without the star even on the floor. So the star's "star bonus" just moves a .500 team to a 50+ win team. Cuz's "star" bonus has always been wasted making 15 win teams into 30 win teams.
Richardson as a sixth man spamming pick and rolls would be interesting. Its wierd to have a guard above 6 foot who can dribble shoot and create, havent had that in a long while.
