I used to post on this site all the time in the early to mid 2000s. I've been a loyal lurker for the past ten years, and I've really enjoyed watching this forum develop and evolve in that time.
One thing I've noticed--and this is likely a function of the Kings doing very little in the way of winning over the last ten years--is that a lot of posters on this site are completely unwilling to budge on certain positions, and too often become sanctimonious, sarcastic, and turn completely defensive when their opinion is under fire.
That said, I find that one of the hardest things for a human to do is to admit that they're wrong. So I thought this might be a fun little exercise:
Would anyone here be willing to share what they were MOST wrong about regarding this team at any point in your time as a fan? Maybe a free agent signing that didn't pan out. A free agent signing that we should have made (but you're glad we didn't). Maybe you thought we should have drafted X instead of Y. Was there a coach who you just "knew" was going to take us on to fortune and glory, only to putter out?
I'm pleased to share my little gem: Trading Jason Williams for Mike Bibby. At the time, I liked the flash and excitement, more than the "boring, slow paced" substance. I was still in my infancy as a fan. Obviously.
So yeah, I'm interested to see if anyone else would be willing to swallow a little pride and admit that they were wrong about something Kings-related?
*Before you respond, please note that my experience above was the first and only time I've ever made a mistake in my judgement of this squad. I've been a regular NBA Carnac ever since Anyways, Hi to anyone who remembers me, good to "see" you all!
