He's also a very good defender. You forgot the other side of the ball.

What this is going to do is uncover for all to see just how poor of a defender Blake is.
I did sortof glaze over that. Dallas thinks they're replacing Chandler with an even better defensive anchor. They might be right, but there's also a faction of analysts who think his effectiveness on the defensive end is often overstated.

Rim Protection Ratings don't like him at all.

His push for DPOY also generated a lot of backlash.

Maybe 20M a year is the new going rate now for a rebounding/shotblocking big with mediocre offensive skills. If that's the case, having Cauley-Stein on a four year rookie deal could end up being one of the best bargains in the league if he can live up to high expectations and become a defensive anchor in the NBA.

If that's the case at what point do the other owners push Vivek out. PDA is gone, Mullin is gone and it's still nothing but chaos.
If there's truth to all the rumors of internal chaos then that option may be closer to reality than we may think. Vivek seems to have a pretty big ego so all of the national media dumping on him constantly has to be taking a toll. Maybe the other owners can push him away from being CEO. Hey, it happened to his "friend Steve Jobs".

Yeah I saw that. It's getting to be ridiculous. It's pretty clear to me despite Vlade being here, we still are battling a fair amount of dysfunction. Karl off doing his own thing is evidence of that, and I do put stock in whatever it is that Dave heard which made him do a complete 180 off being incredibly positive only 24 hours earlier. He won't spill the beans on that though although yesterday he did say Karl vs FO and Karl vs Cuz is still an issue. We've also got Vlade publicly stating he and Karl have problems.

Firing Karl seems to be the easiest and most doable option but it goes back to the owner. Not firing Karl going straight to Vivek's desk. There's just far too much smoke not the believe we still are dealing with a number of issues.

Memphis has shown a willingness on sign-and-trades with free agent center Kostas Koufos, an option the Clippers will need to investigate.

Why would Memphis do that? Kings need to steal him away
Of course they would. But they don't have any control over Koufos, nor do the Clippers really have much of value.

We have the ability to give Koufos a big-time deal and minutes.

Clippers offered 5/109 and got turned down for 4/80.That's a lot of doh to be leaving on the table, speaks volumes about how the Clippers locker enviroment is.
He wanted to go home and there were a ton of rumors him and Cp3 had a falling out.

So if it is not true, then are you suggesting that the Clips been mishandling Jordan's career as a prolific low post scorer and we will see him blossom into one in Dallas?
My question would also be, when he has had the time to develop this low post game as well? You would think he would have shown it enough in practice it would be used more than 18 times during the season if there was anything there.

How many of those 18 low post buckets was against a mismatch? How many were with the clock under 10 seconds?

ESPN sources say Corey Brewer and Houston Rockets closing in on a multiyear deal
Houston is about to sign Corey Brewer to what will likely be MLE-type of deal. They are no longer in play for Josh Smith. Not a player for Stuckey as well.

Edit: wow, it probably starts at $7 million at least, so Rockets are down to Room Exception.

ESPN sources say Corey Brewer has spurned richer offer from Sacramento Kings to stay in Houston on a three-year deal in excess of $23 mil

Wow, we offered him more than $8 million? No thanks.
I love how they always have to throw that in there like the Kings offer was exactly identical but with more money. There are so many possible details like team/player options that we never hear about. It's not always apples to apples
