This is a Cluster-Fudge of epic proportions and as far as I can tell the best maybe only way out is for Vlade and Vivic to call DMC and his people in and ask them to help find a new coach (Tibs and Brooks both know Demarcus) then of course you remove Karl otherwise the WORST thing you could do is leave it alone and hope they can work together.
I thought this was a pretty interesting take on the situation. Not a real "media source," but the interpretation makes a lot of sense.

Really? You're gonna go to a guy who hasn't won 30 games in his NBA career, has already run a few other coaches out of town, and ask him who they should get as a coach??? He's an EMPLOYEE of the Kings. Somebody needs to step up and take control of this situation and asking Demarcus who should be the coach is not the answer.
I've said for a while that if Cousins is traded that would be the end of my time as a Kings fan. Not purely because of Boogie and his talent but because it's just the last straw. Sports should be fun and entertaining and a diversion from the real stresses of life - NOT a major source of stress in and of themselves. I've always made allowances for the fact that Sacramento is a small market and a relatively undesirable landing place for free agents. No superstar was ever going to force their way out of their team and to the Kings. No, it was always going to be years of lovable losers and the occasional lightning in a bottle. I signed on for that ride. I'm fine with that.
What I'm not fine with - no what I'm absolutely livid about - is this franchise that already has the deck perpetually stacked against it repeatedly, inexplicably and inexorably sabotaging itself with horrible hires, terrible drafts, trades and signings and above all else gobsmackingly stupid and indefensible decisions.
Where's Ranadive's PR lap dog to try to justify Malone's firing now? Time to cue up the "Stauskas? Stauskas?" video again? Did Pete's ability to see 4 moves ahead include his demotion and move to Denver?
There was a brief moment this morning where I tried to talk myself into suffering through yet another rebuild - well maybe if we get a huge trade package and hit it out of the park with draft picks etc etc but really enough is enough. It's almost like Stockholm Syndrome at this point.
No, if Boogie is traded the only question for me is whether I stop watching basketball altogether, keep watching but without a rooting interest or choose a new team. Probably the third option. And probably the team that Cousins lands on. Hopefully it isn't the Lakers.
But unless this complete and utter $*** show gets resolved in short order (something I can't even really conceive of happening right now) I can say this: I have absolutely no intention of spending a single dollar more on the Sacramento Kings while Vivek is the owner and the team is not just a struggling small market franchise but an embarrassing laughingstock. This is beyond ridiculous now.

The worst part about all of this for me is that Karl seems to want to reunite entirely w/ all the players on his last team in Denver. Look, that team won a fair amount of games, but you look at that roster, and it's not a championship caliber team. It was a bunch of solid guys playing together and realistically, over achieving. They were never gonna get to the finals, not with ty lawson as you BEST player! SMH, i do not want to see that Denver team in Sac...
Jeez, I go to bed and people get stupid again. If CD knew a month ago that Cousins had requested a trade why isn't he reporting it until now? Are we to believe he was protecting the team by keeping it under wraps? If that's the case, what's his motivation for piling on now? Check your sources people. This started long before PDA left the Kings and I don't think it has any more credibility now. One reporter and all of his buddies doing a rain dance does not mean the sky is falling. Every single one of these "news reports" just points back to the same Woj article.

Dan Fegan is one of the most powerful agents in the league and will keep an ugly and constant drum beat of leaks and bad Kings news to push his client out of town. It doesn't always work, otherwise Dwight would be a Net right now and Rubio would be in a big market. But I don't think that DMC and Karl can hold it together for another year and even if they are the team isn't willing/prepared to pick DMC over Karl, it will be interesting to see if the team even has the stomach to ride this out for a year or more as Fegan and the media carpet bomb the dysfunctional franchise mostly with true facts that leak from every corner of our franchise.

You people are hilarious.. I could only read so many pages of hate against everyone and their mother. Remember who is reporting this crap. I would wait until there are OFFICIAL REPORTS rather than goo off the deep end over rumors. Who cares what Cousins tweeted, it's still not evidence of anything happening with OUR organization. It could be PDA stiring all this up.
When you have a player of DMC's caliber... not just a franchise player but an unstoppable force that major franchise are chasing then yes you get his input on hiring a coach to get the TEAM to place where it needs to be. Our W/L has nothing to do with a single players play or effort, and I suspect you know that.
Dave on radio today flat out said; when he hears about bad Kings news he'll hold it back because he's hoping it will get fixed and blow over before somebody breaks the story; this isn't just smoke here with the Karl and DMC issues; this is a real problem and he thinks its very unlikely those two can coexist for more than 3/4 of a season.
There may be aspects here that aren't solid or are over blown, but this is a very real and live issue. If folks want to make this a PDA and Fegan conspiracy and Woj knew better and put his name on the line for a few click, and everybody else is running a story based solely upon reading Woj. You are entitled to your opinion, but you are in tin foil hat zone. I no longer have an issue with Dave's reporting because he's both consistent and totally upfront about his approach. One way or another, someone is going. Only question that remains is who. You know, Pete was Karl's guy too, he didn't want him to leave. Is this retaliation? You know what? I'm done with this. The same thing happened with the Malone firing, George Karl hire, Vlade supposedly stealing power in the Kings front office. Somebody writes a hilariously loaded "news" article about it and in comes the firestorm. Vivek needs to go, Karl needs to go, PDA needs to go. It's comical really.
