Wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened to our players. Peja, being my favorite player at the time, found out we traded him for Ron Artest/World Peace/Panda whatever on ESPN. Every organization has faults, and ours has many. I hope they don't make the ultimate mistake by trading Cousins, who is just entering his prime coming off a season where he averaged 24-13. I would have been nervous if Pete was still around as well as Mullin. However, with Divac we finally has someone who understands the importance of a big man, especially one as dominant as Cousins. He isn't going anywhere. Period.
I'll say this.....
I'm way more confident that we'll come out of this mess (if you can really even call stupid rumors a mess) with Vlade in charge.
PDA/Mullin at the helm during all of this would have been a recipe for disaster.
Even IF Demarcus asked for a trade.... I have faith in Vlade to get him to buy in on at least one more season.
We have Cuz locked up, no need to panic (yet).... Lakers can kick rocks.
Edit: just thought of a silver lining to all of this.... just think of how bummed Lakers fans will be after getting their hopes up about this. There might even be some tears shed in staples center when they watch Boogie (rocking purple) smash their frontline next season.

Dude, Vlade got this under control. PDA is a spin doctor. Vlade is a silver tongued spin blocker! Ain't no way this happens. None. Vlade would be commuting career suicide going behind his own word on this. Players would never trust him and if there is one thing we all know as Kings fans, when Vlade says to trust him you had better listen to him

These Lakers fan boys does not even know the history of their franchise anymore and they start putting names of players from a franchise that hate them the most.

That makes basically 4 "we will not trade Cousins" statements in a month. At a certain point I think you just have to conclude that we will not trade Cousins no mater what his agents would prefer.
