Just curious, how exactly does a team trade the actual JT, for a better version of JT?
That seems to be what everyone wants, but if that were so easy they'd have traded him already.
I've yet to see a way to trade him and get a starting PF back without giving up too much. Who becomes the starter if they trade him? Landry? Dwill? Evans? And that's an improvement?
How is that moving forward? It doesn't solve the PF problem. Makes it a bigger problem.
I doubt JT is the only one wanting out of Sacramento this week. Remember Jason Jones reporting multiple players don't want Karl due to his deplorable public campaigning? We've added a back stabbing coach to a backstabbing FO. What's not to like as a player?
Unfortunately for JT, what he wants is as irrelevant now as any of the other times he's wanted out. He's wanted out as long as I can remember, long before Karl.
Chubbs I almost always agree with you
But not on Karl doing the self promotion.
And here is why:
1) Karl is a good coach and he wants to come to Sacto. How many times has that happened?
2) Karl is not getting any younger
Lets get the show on the road baby!
3) I like a person that is up front and plain spoken about what they think or want. Much better than being sneaky about it.
4) Corbin was gone no matter what. Might as well Have Karl coaching now.
5) Corbin takes the "Assistant Coach" job in the off season, wink, wink. Front office wanted Alvin Gentry and told him he might replace Malone. Gentry told Malone this. I think the cat was out of the bag. Malone was pissing off the Data Point Geeks.
In most normal situations I don't think it is good to undermine a person in an existing position. But due to all the things we know now it is not like Corbin (or Malone for that matter) was in the Kings long terms plans even though they removed the "interim" label.
