That's a direct quote from cousins agent.
It's the only direct quote we have in this whole mess.
It's really the only solid reporting this far. An actual quote from an actual person whose name is not "source."
I understand agents lie, but he's the only guy to go on the record. And he probably doesn't like too much his name being dragged through the mud either.
Agents don't choose coaches. If the FO can't get it done that's on them.

It's not George Karl, it's elements in our FO looking to blame Cuz and his people and use them as a scapegoat. That's the scariest aspect of all this.

Aileen's tweet doesn't prove that DMC's agents were not holding up the deal. All sides are leaking/spinning/angling. Over what?? Money and power of course. I don't think Karl would be above throwing some napalm on the thing by leaking that DMC's side is a hold-up... Nor do I think Pete is above leaking that to try and position himself as a Karl champion who just couldn't get it done because of Boogie - secretly believing he can get two pacetastick players for Boogie in a trade.
To me a common denominator is that Pete and Vivek are conniving slippery dudes - I doubt we will ever know the truth.
I just hope we get Karl on the bench and start rockin Sleep Train again, and the snakes can all slither back to their holes (owners, GMs, agents).

It actually doesn't matter, cause neither cousins nor his camp are the decision makers.
They couldn't stop them if they wanted to. We've already seen them fire Malone. I just don't get why anyone would think Boogie suddenly has any pull given recent history.
And if Boogie doesn't like Karl, so? Lots of people dislike Karl. People in the Kings FO dislike Karl.

Doesn't matter whether it proves they aren't holding up the deal. What matters is our franchise player and his agent feeling the need to respond to leaks from our FO aimed directly at them and putting the blame on them for incompetence and dysfunction within our FO.
That's the real issue and what we're witnessing is the relationship between Cuz and our FO/owner dissolving publicly before our eyes.

The question is, which "elements of the FO." But that's the right term to use. I've seen other references to the "FO" above, and I don't think you can refer to the "FO" as a single entity anymore, at least as it pertains to this coaching mess.
