What- Me Worry?

We may not agree with what has transpired in the last few weeks but let's not lose site of the fact that this is the exact same team that was winning games before the coach was fired and Cousins got hurt. Everyone is now healthy and the players should have the same defensive knowledge and winning mentality instilled in them by Malone. It is up to them to take what they've learned and continue to win basketball games, no excuses. The FO may want the team to play a more up tempo offensive game but I'm certain they were was never told to stop playing defensive. Get in your man's face and stay there, rotate and help, never leave the man with the ball; nobody gets an open look or an uncontested shot. Play some defense and win this game, play some defense and win the next game....

Go Kings!!

What we are seeing at the moment in lack of leadership from the coaching position. It's also a lack of buy in from players to the current mantra. I highly doubt we are practicing any defence in our practices and I would guarantee that we did a lot of that with Malone. What they learnt under Malone's leadership is not something that sticks around without an intensive focus in practices on it.

Part of the problem may be that no one told the players that Corbin had a new contract as the head coach.

I have some faith that the players melded enough as a team to play better than they have. Unfortunately for Boogie, and I really feel sorry for him, a lot of this is on his shoulders. With Malone, there were two of them. Crap. I may not ever recover from what I think was the biggest blunder since 1985.

I'm going into this game with a positive attitude though.

The Biggest blunder since 1985? I say since the McGoofs fired Adelman.

Here is the irony I find in Vivek firing Malone. Malone was fired due to a supposed lack of innovation on offense. but he had the Kings playing the best defense we had seen in years.

Adelman was fired due to a supposed lack of defensive coaching ability. But he had a wonderful offensive scheme.

The primary difference is that Adelman was here long enough to have success. Malone "We hardly knew ye".

Its time for the players to pick themselves up, dust themselves off and play ball!!!

GO KINGS!!!!! BEAT THE T-WOLVES!!!!!

Well, if we're going to insist on not playing JT, D-Will sinking or swimming with starters minutes is probably the best way to go.

Leaves our bench even more pathetic, but.. Oh well?

I missed the last game, but I managed to watch the first half. I saw more of what Coach Daniel talked about in his video. The big men go to high when the guard the pick and roll, even when the ice it.

That's usually when the team gave up back breaking layups.

This is the kind of absolute speculation that we really shouldn't run with. It's the sort of thing that slowly turns into a "fact" and becomes part of the "narrative". But you don't know that, and other than some bad performances, you have no evidence for it. So let's not start spreading that rumor, OK?

No, Adelman was "fired" because he would no longer put up with the idiots Maloof. The "no defensive coaching ability" was a smokescreen.

Does anyone know whats up with not playing JT????
JT had bought into Malone's philosophy and style of play and was performing better than he ever had. One can only suspect - partially because of his total silence - that he was deeply affected by Malone's abrupt departure and may, as is his wont, have been very vocal to the wrong people at the wrong time. But that is merely a guess on my part.

From what I remember, Corbin said JT will play today. Doesn't mean he'll start.

Using JT as the primary bench big always made a certain amount of sense. Problem is, Kings don't have a starting caliber PF and they didn't use him at all yesterday ,,, so, like everything.. no idea what the plan is here.

But I don't hate Williams starting. It's different look.

Proof is in the eating of the pudding. All I need to do is look at the defensive stats since Malone was fired and its it tells me all I need to know about what is being pushed by the coaches and the franchise. If we practiced D enough, we would be playing it much better than we are. Everything that we have heard from the franchise in the last 2-3 weeks is about offence. Connect the dots. It ain't rocket science.

You're still jumping right of assumption peak and into conclusion pond. Guys work on free throws in practice, too, and then turn around and go 6-15 at the line during the game. You can't just toss an assumption out there and pretend it' conclusive.
