[Game] Game 30: Sacramento Kings vs. NY Knicks, 12/27/14. 7PM PST, 10PM EST

This is the type of **** I could see leading to me retiring my Kings colors for good.

I've been through a lot with this team. Far more bad than good. I can put up with a lot of BS but this crap might be the last straw as it's the type of crap which will see us lose Cuz and never be truly competitive.

BTW, it seems like PDA is taunting the fanbase. He knows damn well people are sick of the "pace" BS. This weasel needs to hit the curb.
I agree, I have put up with a lot, stuck with this team through miserable seasons, the talent just wasn't there. Now we do have the talent(to at least be a very competitive team) and that clique of nerds running the team are ruining a potentially great thing as it was barely building. Literally the foundation was just being set and these bafoons have found a way to topple it down already. Good lord this is awful, just awful. If Cousins goes, I am done as a Kings fan, that will mean literally another 5 year rebuilding cycle playing NBA 3.0

Agreed. You don't need to sell me on that. Only question remains is Mr. High and Proud aka Vivek aka Clueless going to allow the changes that should and need to happen? If he thinks this is entertaining, then I question his intelligence. If I had a twitter, I would be sending tweets every 10 seconds.
It's ironic all those girls cared about was style as well until they eventually wised up.

Those are some ugly broads.

Please do what you want with the image internet. I'm erasing the file now because I don't want this monstrosity sitting on my desktop anymore.

Yeah I don't get the feeling watching that post game interview that Corbin was really expecting to be the head coach of this team. Especially since he was a Malone guy not a PDA guy. I suspect he is following orders and playing the way the FO wants the team to play, but the results are not good. That game was a NON LOSS. Not a win. Just because Big Cuz goes BEASTMODE on the pathetic Knicks front line does not mean that this was a good win. The defense was reprehensible. The team needs better leadership !

WHY in GAWDS NAME has George Karl not signed a contract with the Kings yet ? He is a PERFECT fit ! This team wants to win Vivek !! Hire a coach to lead this team ! Corbin is a chair warmer. He has no coaching ability. Get KARL ! He will coach this team up and they will win. If PDA aint ok with it then it's time for him to move on. Fans are getting VERY FRUSTRATED. This aint gonna just go away. Even when the team wins the fans are going to be upset. They see no coaching and no cohesion in this team. The Knicks are GAWDAWFUL and they took the Kings to OT?? If they would have lost this game I am CERTAIN the booing would commence. You made a bad mistake by firing a popular coach in Malone. Don't continue to compound that mistake by letting this team flounder without an NBA Caliber coach to lead them. You kept saying to the Fans " This is your team" Well we want OUR TEAM to be lead by a REAL COACH !
I could not possibly agree more. KIngs fans need to shout from the rooftops, especially since the team is gonna be on the road. We need to keep up the pressure on the entire front office to make sure they know we are not appeased. AT ALL.

Cuz is definitely calling Pete/Mullin/Vivek out in his post game comments. This won't end well for PDA one way or another.

“We can’t be a team that’s going to come out & outscore people. That’s not us. We defend & our defense transitions over to the offense.”-DMC
One of three things can happen:
1) Vivek suddenly sees the light after hearing Cousin's comments, and agrees to the grind it out style (unlikely IMO)
2) PDA is fired because we are underperforming in basically every aspect except scoring
3) Cousins is traded because he has now publicly defied Vivek and his wishes. Didn't end well for Malone.

Obviously #3 would most likely lead to Vivek getting beat half to death with a baseball bat. It would literally isolate him completely from the fan base. No one would go to the games. On the Cousins front, you aren't going to change Cousin's mind. He knows what he is good at and what Rudy is good at. This run n gun style isn't going to fly. Something has to budge. Your best player has now publicly stated (after a win) that he disapproves of basically everything that Vivek is trying to do. Does Vivek have the balls to trade Cousins? Or will he realize his mistakes. Stay tuned.

Corbin is a serviceable coach, but he is not coaching this team right now. PDA, Vivek and Mullin are the ones pulling the strings, Cousins's postgame interview was clearly a cry for help. #SaveourKings

A career .434 record is not gonna lead anyone to the promise land. He is a chair warmer. And he knows it. You can tell from the post game interview that he is just waiting for the call. They need a real coach in the worst possible way.

Cousins just said in post-game interview that the team needs to get back to playing defense and taking pride in defense. Team can't try to outscore the other team every game. I think he said "that's not who we are."
Did he say that verbatim? If so, he just quoted Malone. I remember that there was this one game where, during a timeout, Malone praised the Kings' defense, and then said, verbatim: "that's who we are."

We need Malone back.

On the bright side, the Kings are showing flashes of wise passing. However, it may be presumptuous to say that that is because of the nudge towards NBA 3.0; it may be simply because of more time together.

I don't feel that Demarcus is going right after upper management. He's going to try turn things back himself, which may actually end up helping out Corbin.

I hope DeMarcus and his stubborn-ass sense of self lead a mutiny, and they end up walking the ball up the court every. Single. Damn. Time. Regardless of situation. Pissed off Boogie on your side is fantastic. Against your side? Vivek and PDA might just find out.

It's going to get ugly, but frankly, I don't care. They've made this bed.

Interesting that he does not agree with the change in style. Even though he does not explicitly state disagreement, it is heavily, heavily implied.
I'm not sure what more you think he could have said that would have made it any clearer. He just came right out and said the Kings need to play defense first and that will lead to offense. That is in DIRECT opposition to what the front office has said. It doesn't get any clearer than that.

I appreciate the fans who do this but I just feel like it's a slap in the face of Corbin. It's not his fault that he was thrown into the fire like this, in fact I doubt he even thought it would be possible so soon. Ownership just needs to either give him a contract for the rest of the year tomorrow or hire a new coach now.
"Management interviewed candidates for his top assistant job, but Malone ultimately hired his preferred candidate, Corbin, the ex-Utah Jazz coach." - Yahoo Sports, http://sports.yahoo.com/news/sources--kings-fire-coach-michael-malone-061241211.html

Corbin is not the long term solution the Kings want or need as their head coach. As stated above from a report, the Kings never had Corbin on their radar as their lead assistant coach. That was actually Alvin Gentry. I'm sure you have read the report on that one.

Corbin is a lame duck coach.

Kings need to hire George Karl.

When was the last time a head coach of George Karl's experience has said he wants to coach the Sacramento Kings?

Oh poopoo that's great but terrible at the same time!

Definitely a compliment to Karl but a real finger to the face of Corbin
Kings never considered Corbin in their long term plans. They wanted Alvin Gentry but Malone hired Corbin as his lead assistant.

"George Karl, Alvin Gentry and even Kings consultant Chris Mullin have been mentioned as candidates to permanently replace Malone, though Corbin has received assurances that he'll finish the year and have a chance to win the job. But Corbin was Malone's choice and was loyal to Malone, so that should tell you everything you need to know about that." - CBS, http://www.cbssports.com/nba/writer...the-kings-and-michael-malone-had-to-part-ways

Based on the above information, I am wondering if you still believe what we are doing is a "real finger to the face of Corbin."

What we are doing is making our voices be heard that what we need is an experienced and winning head coach like George Karl.

Karl has also stated the Sacramento Kings fits his criteria.

IIRC, Gentry turned down the job because they basically told him that they wanted to hire him with the intent of firing Malone mid-season, and Gentry thought that was a ***** move, and didn't want to have anything to do with it. So, yeah, I do still think it's a 'finger to the face' of Corbin. Obviously, he was never in our long term plans, but he has found himself in a situation outside his control, where the entire fandom wants him to be fired. In light of the fact that he was never supposed to be the head coach, yeah, I feel a little sympathy for him.
