Been puking my guts out (among other unpleasant symptoms) over the past half a week and thus haven't had the time or the will to write anything.

Also, I'll be visiting family until the new year so don't expect a return to normal game threads until 2015

Slow the game down, dump the ball down into the "Big Advantage" and keep them from running us out of the Gym ! Tell Ramon Sessions he is still on vacation, and let McCallum and McLemore run with their Guards. Play Casspi at SF and Gay at PF. Give JT the night off. Dump it down to CUZ, and have him run a low post offense where he Kicks out to shooters when the double team comes. Force Phoenix into a half court game and they will not score 120. Force them to play defense and they will lose. Play their game and the Kings will get run.

The turn-around starts here, guys! Our team will put it together tonight against Phoenix. DeMarcus Cousins will have a feast on the glass, to go along with a huge game offensively. Our wings, led by Rudy Gay, should have a collectively productive game. Darren Collison will be a pest on the ball and frustrate the opposing guards. We will contain Dragic/Bledsoe and make someone else have to beat us! My keys include solid play from our bench, exclusively Ramon Sessions, we can not have any extended period of bad play. No let downs!

Let the chants begin. Sac-ra-men-to!

Another team you don't want to play a uptempo style with otherwise you can find yourself down double digits in a hurry. This Suns team is small so the focal point should be to abuse them inside. Bledsoe or Dragic will give Darren fits all game so I won't expect much out of him, need Ben to lock up one of the two guards here. Markieff should be able to feast since he will be bringing JT out of the paint area. I expect a double digit loss if we are going to play defense like we have recently.

So...going to puke all over the family eh? Good strategy! :p

I thin you need to come home Tet. Japan doesn't seem to be agreeing with your constitution. Plus, giant monsters.

Oh, and once again, somehow just win this. Cuz is big. Appropriate strategy -- yo NBA 3.0 dorks, let me teach some basketball -- would be to slow the game down, pound it inside, work the boards, and neutralize the speed of their guardline.

Gay could be the key guy. If the Suns play three guards with Gay in the lineup, he has to totally abuse the guard guarding him because they are definitely going after him when they are on offense.

Pfft. We can just hide him at PF and matchup with Stauskas and Sessions!

Latest injury report from Kings.com

DeMarcus Cousins has been added to the team's injury report with Gastroenteritis, also known as a stomach flu, and is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Phoenix Suns (16-14).

Cousins has averaged 26 points, 11 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game in three contests since returning from injury on December 18.

Ramon Sessions is also on the team's injury report and listed as out with a low back strain.

Additionally, Ryan Hollins is out for personal reasons.

Well... this promises to be interesting...
Well, there's still wiggle room. Questionable means 50% chance either way. I am greatly relieved that I passed on going to tonight's game, however. Watching a team without DMC on the court does not sound like a great way to spend a Friday night.

Cousins' sick dates:

after Thanksgiving: viral meningitis
after Christmas: Gastroenteritis

Pattern, anyone?

Cousins go all out in the holidays? lol

I think Cousins should look after himself a teeny bit better than usual next time.

Gastroenteritis is a viral illness. I wonder how many times a person has two different viral illnesses within a few weeks of each other.

There are somethings that aren't lol-able. This is one of them.

Lets hope it's not related and may re-trigger the former.
I doubt if it would re-trigger the meningitis but what would anger me is if this info was spread to us dumb fans by non medical people. I'm very sensitive about such things for a variety of reasons but one reason is that I think these basketball players deserve the very best in care and coming up with such a diagnosis over a Christmas holiday makes me wonder if someone is being sloppy. Have you ever tried to get ahold of your family doctor on Christmas day? Good luck. I will grant that Cousins can get special treatment but two viral illness one after another? Sounds unlikely.

I suspect he will play tonight but that's because he is Boogie. :)

so based on these viral illnesses does that tell us that DeMarcus' immune system is weak? if so....maybe it's time to start looking at the nutrition side of things.

I don't believe any of this latest bit of info until a Kaiser Permanente doctor gives a presser.

I'm not a conspiracy guy, but I'm starting to smell a rat. Wondering if maybe there's a little rebellion going on, and their trying to keep a lid on it. Or, and I hate to even mention it, there's a trade in the works. Naw, they're not that stupid. Bottom line is, I agree with you. What's the likelyhood of getting back to back viral infections? Hopefully we see him on the court tonight.
