Ok, I am seriously pissed by this move, and I could say a whole lot about the "braintrust" that would think such a move was acceptable. But that stuff is for other threads (and basically anywhere around the web since we have pretty much universally been deemed idiots). Let's keep this one though just to the thanks to Malone.

So:

Thank you Mike. Thanks for reaching Cuz, for nurturing Ben, for inspiring loyalty and team chemistry we haven;t seen in forever. Thanks most of all for sticking to your guns, playing defense, rebounding, working the post. I had, and still do have, a lot of confidence that what you were doing was going to make us winners for the first time in a decade. Thx, and best of luck at your next stop. You got a raw deal here.

Thank you, Michael Malone, for leading the Kings (along with healthy Boogie) to the best start in about 10 years.
Thanks for giving Kings a defense.

Wish you the best in the future coaching endeavors.

Thank you Michael Malone. If someone is hired after you that has success, they will owe part of that success to you for the work you did in establishing chemistry, working with Cousins and Rudy, helping Ben to get significantly better, etc...

Thanks for making the Kings relevant for the first time in over a decade, you did not deserve this AT ALL. You helped transform Cousins into the beast he is, something the last 15 coaches could not do... You're a good coach and I'm sure you wont have a problem finding another gig in the league. Good-luck Coach Malone!

Thank You Coach Malone for everything you did for the guys, and for bringing some real basketball back to Sacramento. No matter how things end up you will be missed.

Thank you Mike Malone!!! You spoke of defense, team chemistry and passing. With your leadership Cousins has blossomed, Rudy Gay is back, McLemore is a player and the Kings shocked the world to begin this season. The Kings are so close to breaking through and BOOM they pull the rug out from under you!!!

You do deserve better. Take care and enjoy that three year contract to the fullest, you have earned every penny of it!!!

Thank you Mike Malone. You had charisma, fire, and got this team to play some defense for the first time in a roughly a decade. You're the first real coach we've had since Rick. You'll get picked up by another organization, and rather quickly I would expect.

Coach Malone - you crafted this team into something worth cheering on. I hadn't been able to say that in nearly a decade.

Losing you is a monumental step back for this franchise and I can only hope it doesn't haunt us for years to come.Thank you for your fire, for getting the most out of a rag-tag group of misfits and for demanding more of them and yourself. I'm confident you'll find yourself at the helm of a less delusional team shortly.

As for us, it's back to the coaching carousel we go. :(

Is this the first time Brick has made a "thanks" thread???

But to echo the comments here - thanks coach for all of the above. Good luck at your next stop. I liked what you were trying to do with the team. A little more talent on the court could have gone a long way to getting you there.

would really rather have a new GM than a new coach. sad to see you go Mr. Malone, best of luck in your future endeavours, you should have no trouble getting a new job, if you so wish.

Well, sorry to see you go Coach Malone. I hope you have a better chance at your next stop.

As for the Front Office and Ownership of the Kings, the clock is now ticking on YOU. If you dont make this work and everything goes south, the finger of blame will be solidly placed on YOU.

You deserved better. You were doing the best with what you had, and patience was needed. Good luck in your future NBA endeavours, I'm sure you will land on your feet.

Thank you Malone.

I'm sure you'll get another HC gig shortly. And I'm sure it'll feel good destroying whatever trash, cherry picking, BSball 3.0 roster The Sacramento Viveks trot out in the upcoming seasons.

Thank you Coach Malone.

You deserved better. I'm sure you will have success elsewhere. I was hoping to see you lead the Kings to the playoffs.

Best of Luck with all future coaching jobs, unless you are playing the Kings! ;)

While this is unfortunate for his family stability, his daughters, wife, etc... I'm confident he'll get hired to another head coaching gig, before the start of next year, hence earning double salary next year. So good for him. And yes, count me irked, at the least. This is definitely stretching my famously positive outlook.

This puts a huge amount of pressure on the next coach. If he doesn't reach great success, we'll all always be wondering how far we could have gotten with Malone.

All I can think of is: too much iso????

It's not like he's ever going to read this but whatever

You were a good man for Sacramento you changed things that needed to be changed and did things that needed to be did and I think you leave the Kings in good hands. Your firing came as a shock to me and just stay humble and youll do well

I'd also like to say I'm sorry. Sorry you had to work for Peter D'Alexander or whatever his name is and Ranadeve. You didn't deserve this but good things happen to good people and YOU are a good people

You'll find a job again because of what you did for the Kings

I love you Michael!
