With DeMarcus out of the hospital, I'm sure he has the ability to relay what the doctors told him to his head coach and his front office. Doesnt seem unreasonable for a reporter to get that information.
Don't sweat it, people are picking at nits.

Its the information we have, from people who could be in a position to have been informed of things, so perfectly reasonable to go with it for now until we get better.

To follow up and to further support your comment, we don't know what is wrong with Boogie. Just because he is a basketball player doesn't mean his health issues should be an open book. If Cousins wants his personal issues made public, he can do it himself.
I wasn't referring to whether it's right or wrong. I was just saying I dont think it's unreasonable to think a reporter would have access to that information.

I agree with you, it should be Boogie's decision to make his health public or not. Unfortunately it doesn't always work like that. People have sources, information gets leaked.

You seem to believe that teams embrace reporters and the media. That's not exactly true. There are tons of times when reporters are, in fact, the last to know. And IMHO it should be that way. Fans, etc. do not need to or have the right to every single piece of information they want.

I dont believe that at all. And I'm not sure where you got that. You know as well as I do that health information gets leaked all the time..and I'm not sure why this is being made into a bigger deal than it is.

I agree that fans and reporters dont need to or have the right to every single piece of information they want. I never said otherwise. Maybe he got his info from a credible source, maybe he didnt, either way it doesnt matter.. we know he's sick and is on the mend.

Man I hope DMC gets better. I had the flu for the first time in my adult life last year and lost tons of muscle. It was so bad that when I came back and tried to lift weights again I injured my shoulder even at a weight level that wasn't much more than my prior warm up set.

Hmm. Never realized DMC was completely tatted up. :p

Hope the Big Man has a speedy recovery. The team obviously needs him back but his health is more important.

I dont know, I'm just passing on information that I've read. I generally trust the information James Ham puts out.. could be as simple as him asking Malone, but again, I dont know.
I don't, necessarily. If he is parroting/retweeting info that you can check with the source (frequently), fine. Pointless, but fine. Otherwise? Let's just say my opinion of him is somewhere around Maloof/Lakers/Samueli/Hansen levels and leave it at that.....

First, get well soon Big Man!

The practical side of it is this: Fortunately the Kings have a relatively easier teams against them than until now. This period should be used to get the bench involved and used to the style. Let's get BenMc seriously involved in 3-point shooting. Let's get Stauskas involved in good defense before anything else followed by drives to the hoop and mid range shooting. Shooting the long ball is not the ideal way to regain confidence unless the team otherwise sweeps the opponents out of the court.

I think JT (not Hollins) has to become the starting center and Reggie Evans his backup. Landry and DWill should compete for the PF spot, but play also Casspi and Gay combo in which one of them playes the PF (Casspi I guess). But here's the problem. Mike Malone has to take his PGs to a serious talk. They need to pass the ball! Missing DMC does NOT mean that they have to shoot all the DMC's shots. They have to get the team involved.

This weekend will define a lot of what the supporting cast looks like. Losing to Raptors, Spurs, Grizz without Cuz isn't a big deal; beating them with him on the floor would be difficult enough. Indy, Magic and the Jazz are all teams we can and should beat and anything less than 2-1 would be a pretty big failure.

Speaking of this illness though, must be a seriously nasty bug. I don't recall a case from anyone who's had to miss 5+ games from being sick in the past few years. Day to day stuff sure, but never to this extent where a player needed hospital treatment. Hope the big fella gets some rest and comes back strong.

One of the engineers I work with frequently at another company just came back to work today after being home 8 days with a flu/virus. Said it was the worst he had ever had and he had received the flu shot a few weeks ago, too. So it might just be a nasty bug going around.
