Spurs six straight wins - last loss against Kings at Sleep Train. 2-2 road trip that most of us predicted is cool as long as upcoming 10 of 11 home stand is Boogie Monster terror rampage.

If we got a new backup center out of this who'll see mins going forward, that's a decent night all things considered.

Thing is, I have no idea whether Hollins will now backup Cuz or again be banished to the end of the bench never to be seen unless waving a towel.

Well, at least we know that the Kings have a pretty serviceable 7 footer, who can play defense and knows how to move without a ball on offense.

Based on the fact that he didn't play in the 4th quarter, after being very effective,....it's anyone's guess going forward

One would argue that Ben should have gotten more shots
And one would be right. I just seemed like Sessions was freezing him out and the rest of the team was not aware of Ben. He was playing very aggressive and was scoring. Just odd how there was no awareness of it. Coach didn't draw up any plays to take advantage of it. And Hollins not playing more is a mystery. Landry gave you nothing tonight. Why not put Hollins out there and see if he can give you more of what he gave you in the first half. Just Odd.....

But ill take a 2-2 road trip with the injuries and all. Need to get home and practice and get some home wins.

Maybe but recall one he would have perhaps gotten but lost his court awareness stepping out of bounds in corner. Did not get to FT line at all tonight. Ben contributed and is getting better and better but still needs to work on some critical things to be what he certainly can be - big time two guard threat.

Without Cousins, there is NO ONE down low to get us a bucket when we need it.
In order to beat the Spurs without Cousins, we needed our shooters to be lights out, and it just didn't happen.
That we missed quite a few at point blank range and gave up so many layups didn't help, but it was possible to keep this game closer with a greater individual effort from several players. Landry continues to mystify (or not) against actual front lines.

Yeah, it sucks that the Kings lost, but too much had to go right to make it happen in their favor. I'll take 2-2 for now.

Considering he sat most of the 4th quarter while we played matador defense, id bet on back to towel waiver

Coach Malone just said offense was not the problem it was Spurs guards getting anything they wanted. King scored 104 pts but gave Spurs 112 - who average 97 pts a game!

he's right, but i think the spurs got what they wanted because the defensive gameplan was bad. it seemed like they wanted to hedge pick and rolls and chase three point shooters off the line, which didn't work at all.

Of course Hollins won't get playing time again, because our coach is very inexperienced and not really top-notch. Sessions will continue to be the back-up PG and McCallum will be wasted at the bench.

Give us a decent coach and this team could have WON more than 10 games now. Except this game, we've wasted a lot of winnable games because of poor coaching.

Cousins and rudy love mike Malone. That alone keeps his job lol. While he's not the best I think he's doing a good enough job and taking us in the right direction

To be fair, Hollins played the pick and roll like he'd never seen it before in his life.

This kinda assumes that you would be a better coach, doesn't it?

Great point. He's talking about their guards getting whatever they want, yet he won't play our better defensive player in Ray. Doesn't make any sense.

Play Ray and let Hollins protect the rim behind him
Our second unit doesn't score anyways, so it would make sense to throw defense out there to at least hold the fort for a few minutes.

A lot of people are saying we found a back up for Cuz, but I rather see Cuz and Hollins play together to see what they can do.
