NBA suspends, fines Cousins

I hope they stay pc. This is not the time to make this a public debate especially considering the way I think Cuz takes such public airings of his emotional deficiencies. As Grant doesn't like Cuz, this may not end well. I feel the flames being fanned. Get what I mean?
If anyone can be a good company man and not fan flames its Grant Napear.

All this crap about him getting upset over a all star spot is the biggest excuse I have ever heard, he said when he signed his extension he wants to take Sacramento to be playoffs time or something along those lines right? If he really cared about that he would not care at all about missing the ASG which is a individual award. Him getting tossed from games and getting techs and all the other crap does not help this team win nor does it make his teammates better nor will it help in signing free agents.

I like DMC as player cause of his skillset but you have to wonder how much he really does care and if he will ever focus his energy into positive acts on the court. Every single game nearly he losses his cool and starts forcing shots or yelling at refs/teammates.
As a Boogie apologist, I don't think the top bolded part is the issue. I think it is more a self perceived vision of himself as a failed leader. I'd like to think that his relationship with Evans and Gay might help settle things down. Maybe he doesn't know them well enough.

The latter bolded part of what you wrote is not true this year. Think it over.

I want to see video of Harden throwing Cousins to the floor.
I'm trying to stay out of this round of pro-DMC, anti-DMC rhetoric but I will say this much (and you can choose whether or not to believe me): Harden DID throw Cousins to the floor. It was obvious, it was blatant and it was totally ignored by the officials. It set the tone for what would happen the rest of the night.

The ONLY people referencing the all-star spot are a couple of fans around here. Cousins himself has NEVER made any such comment. If you're going to get onto your high horse, make sure it's the right horse.

Bullpoopoo. Grant Napear has made a point of poking the stick at DMC and other Kings players more times than I can count. I'm not saying he'll do it this time, but to say Grant can be a company man and not fan flames when there's a chance to boost ratings is naive at best.

As far as Napear. I can't stand his radio show but will turn it on at 4:35 PM today to hear PDA and then later to hear the coach. That's it, nothing in between which is repeated, cowardly insults directed at callers.

So, basically what you're saying there is that if a dude is thrown to the floor, he has a right to get up and proceed to sock another dude in the stomach? With all do respect, VF21, gimme a freaking break....

Cousins punched OJ Mayo in the dick (not seen by refs) and elbowed MD last season and neither did anything other than play hard afterwards and help there team's win. It's not like him being thrown to the ground was life threatening, Harden probably did it cause he knew it would pee him off like a smart player does.

And even if Harden threw him to the ground, and was ignored, it still doesn't mean you retaliate by punching a dude....

I know Grant went off on Cousins last year with all of his crazy trade talk and constantly picked on Cousins. He and Cousins allegedly got into it after a game too but Grant played it down. I know Grant has toned it down compared to last year since the new regime gave Cuz a max deal and made him the face of a franchise that Grant has to promote/support being as how it pays his bills.

And I disagree, its not naive, remember the show after the maloofs crazy press conference, perhaps one of the most epic days in almost a decade in reletion to the kings up until that point, did he fan the flames? No he completely backed the maloofs idoitic claims of retrofitting arco and how they loved Sacramento and didnt want to move after just having dumped on the city. He could have had a field day on the kings, boosted ratings by displaying common sense and disagreeing with whatever the maloofs were purposing but he stood neutral and was a good company man.

We'll agree to disagree...and leave it at that.

he punched pat beverly right? some folk on twitter said that may have been because beverly stood over him after he hurt his ankle in houston.
That is probably it and also the attempted shot at Cousins' head or chest as he fell to the floor with the twisted ankle.

Even if that is the case, Cousins and his actions will come out on the short end of the stick every single time in the NBA and how they keep order

He did say after the celtics road game where sullinger worked him that he was distracted or something to that effect. I don't believe he explicitly said the all star game was on his mind but it was implied I believe

Wasn't KMart another whipping boy?
Was more after Kev was traded, which is a whole other conversation as Grant has supported players when here, then ripped them the min they move on.

He'll never, ever say a player is a poor fit when a member of this roster and will scream down any caller suggesting so. But when that player is traded, he suddenly wasn't that good, didn't fit, whatever we received in return is better, etc. An example is TRob, who sucked, but Grant completely backed him while here as he was backing the FO at the time. But the day he was traded he ripped him his entire show.

Cuz is my favorite player and i always defend him, but his attitude on the court over the last couple weeks is starting to irritate the hell out of me. he's been on a downward spiral ever since that 6 game road trip started

I was at the East Sac Sub Shack on Folsom & 52nd earlier, and Pete was there tippin' a few back. Hopefully when he talks to Peaches, the alcohol doesn't impair his thoughts

Wait, you mean you were being serious? The only reason I let that comment go unchallenged is because I presumed it was sarcasm.

There is not a less objective, more incendiary media personality associated with the Sacramento Kings, more likely to fan flames than Grant Napear, and this is an organization that boasts the likes of Jason Jones, Sam Amick, Ailene Voisin and Carmichael Dave.
