As a Boogie apologist, I don't think the top bolded part is the issue. I think it is more a self perceived vision of himself as a failed leader. I'd like to think that his relationship with Evans and Gay might help settle things down. Maybe he doesn't know them well enough.

I'm trying to stay out of this round of pro-DMC, anti-DMC rhetoric but I will say this much (and you can choose whether or not to believe me): Harden DID throw Cousins to the floor. It was obvious, it was blatant and it was totally ignored by the officials. It set the tone for what would happen the rest of the night.
I'm sick of the apologists for DMC's behavior blaming it on his age. Let him go fight in Iraq or Afghanistan like other men and women his age, and then tell us how much "pressure" he's under where he can't behave like an adult. I hope coach sits his ass down for another game, franchise or no franchise.

Cousins punched OJ Mayo in the dick (not seen by refs) and elbowed MD last season and neither did anything other than play hard afterwards and help there team's win. It's not like him being thrown to the ground was life threatening, Harden probably did it cause he knew it would pee him off like a smart player does.
I know Grant went off on Cousins last year with all of his crazy trade talk and constantly picked on Cousins. He and Cousins allegedly got into it after a game too but Grant played it down. I know Grant has toned it down compared to last year since the new regime gave Cuz a max deal and made him the face of a franchise that Grant has to promote/support being as how it pays his bills.
And I disagree, its not naive, remember the show after the maloofs crazy press conference, perhaps one of the most epic days in almost a decade in reletion to the kings up until that point, did he fan the flames? No he completely backed the maloofs idoitic claims of retrofitting arco and how they loved Sacramento and didnt want to move after just having dumped on the city. He could have had a field day on the kings, boosted ratings by displaying common sense and disagreeing with whatever the maloofs were purposing but he stood neutral and was a good company man.

He'll never, ever say a player is a poor fit when a member of this roster and will scream down any caller suggesting so. But when that player is traded, he suddenly wasn't that good, didn't fit, whatever we received in return is better, etc. An example is TRob, who sucked, but Grant completely backed him while here as he was backing the FO at the time. There is not a less objective, more incendiary media personality associated with the Sacramento Kings, more likely to fan flames than Grant Napear, and this is an organization that boasts the likes of Jason Jones, Sam Amick, Ailene Voisin and Carmichael Dave.
