Wow the Bulls no matter how many injuries/trading Deng they have just motor on seriously it's amazing how much heart that team has compared to ours. Does not seem like they are trying to blow it up.

A jump back to history, DMC actually like Melo's game a lot. He once mentioned in an interview that he models his game close to Melo's.
Explains the shot selection

Milwaukee Bucks – Sacramento Kings Trade:
L. Sanders
($11M) + G. Neal ($3.2M) + C. Delfino ($3.2M) for M. Thornton ($8.0M) + J. Thompson ($5.6M) + 2016 First Rounder

Interesting, anyone familiar with the draft's know what 2016 is looking like?
Change Neal to Brandon Knight and that deal would make sense.
Sanders and DMC locked for 5 years is what would make sense for building a contender.
Remember the golden days of CWebb era, we really don't bother of draft picks because we were already contending.
I would easily put that 2016 in that deal if I got DMC and Sander for the next 5 years.

C - DMC
PF - Sanders/Landry
SF - Gay/Williams
SG - Knight/Ben
PG - IT

That's a damn good core for me because Knight can easily switch between 2 guard spots

Kings can't trade that first rounder as it would put them in the position of possibly trading two consecutive first round picks.

Trading Sanders to the T-Wolves for Pekovic actually makes a fair amount of sense. T-Wolves need a better rim protector than Pekovic and the Bucks desperately need a competent post player.

Still, international business times isn't really a reputable source for trade rumors. You can get better stuff out of the RealGM forums.

Brandon Knight at SG is pretty small for the position. He's also shows a surprisingly low BBIQ for such a bright young kid.

Sanders, on paper, would be an ideal fit next to Cousins, but if you thought you had maturity issues with Cousins . . .

comparing apples to oranges here. they've been pretty consistent in terms of roster for years, coach, ownership. us? new coach, ownership, roster hasn't been consistent and you wonder how much heart our team has? stability promotes success. we are getting there.

I am so down to go after Larry Sanders but they're crazy if they think they can dump Delfino and get a 1st in a deal for him. Then again, the Kings dump JT in the deal so it's a tough call but good luck on getting a pick in the deal. Just sucks because the Kings could use every player in that trade, just don't like the details.

Has anybody mentioned that Beno asked to be traded? http://nba.si.com/2014/01/20/beno-udrih-trade-request-new-york-knicks/

Shall there be a reunion? I know you all love him, so it would be great to have him back. If you sleep on Beno, he can drop 30/10 on you.
Oddly enough, I think we can get him for just the Vasquez trade exception.

It makes sense if you think that Malone is playing IT 40 minutes a night because he doesn't trust Jimmer/McCallum. It makes less sense if you think that Malone is playing IT 40 minutes a night because IT is producing and he wants to run his best squad as long as he can get away with it.

My feeling is that Jimmer has been doing okay as backup point guard. He hasn't been amazing or awful. IT has said on a few occasions that he wants to play all 48 minutes, so I tend to think that Malone is playing him as much as he can get away with. For those reasons, I don't think Beno addresses a position of immediate need for the Kings.

Now if the Kings were to trade Jimmer as I think they should, just to get some value out of that draft pick, then you pick up Beno as the cheap expiring contract to finish out backup point guard duties for the year.

While Beno was a good fit for the team several years ago, he might really not be all that great for us now. First, he still does nothing to help solve our defensive difficulties. Second, there's a reason that he's begin run out of town in New York and it isn't just because of the media fervor. He's quite frankly back to being 17-win season Beno as opposed to good rotation guard next to Tyreke Beno.

Just because he's bad in New York doesn't mean he'll be bad here. I always liked Beno and I think he could be beneficial in a supporting role.

Note: A lot of people don't bother with the trade threads. For that reason, I've split the discussion about stars/superstars to the NBA forum in its own thread.

Beno would not solve all our problems, but he can run an offense, plays more D than any of our current guards, and most importantly would allow Malone to move IT back to the bench where he has MUCH more impact. Last night against NOL the entire bench posted -numbers.

Way that's written out, I'm pretty sure that's just the writers' suggestion, not an actual rumor of something he's heard about.

His defence on the Knicks has been probably worse than Vasquez which means way worse than Thomas and Jimmer.

We know Beno. You cannot judge him solely on what he's doing on the Knicks any more than you could judge Rudy by his play in Toronto.
Still does not change he's a very poor defender we knew Rudy had talent at both ends, Beno I like his game but he's old and can't stay in front of anyone. I mean if we give up nothing at all to get him I would like him as a back up.

I guess we view Beno's potential role differently. I'm not looking for a lock-down defense from him; I'm looking for a competent PG who can run the offense and defer to the stars.

Not a trade, but rather off-season idea.
Kendall Marshall wasn't good 3pt shooter in UNC, but so far is shooting .464 from outside on 4 attempts per game. In UNC he actually had his post presence (Zeller) and playmaking SF (Barnes) for 2 years.

I actually wanted to draft Marshall. At that time I wasn't so sure he would fit with the team (but I still wanted him), but now I believe he would fit, and flourish.

I also would still love to get Chalmers. He's at about the right age, and years in the NBA that he can bring veteran leadership here. Not to mention the guy is a winner, albeit he's played with Wade and LeBron. Chalmers still gives the Heat some pretty damn good defense and he knows when to get out of the way. He's a "fitting in" kind of player which I think there aren't enough of in the NBA. Glorified role player I guess? He can be much more if given the chance imo.. This was another guy I wanted to draft. Late 1st round picks were going for cash that year, but the Maloofs were too stingy to take a chance. Same with Jordan. They could have bought a second round pick and drafted Deandre Jordan... Everyone and their mothers were talking about how those two dropped (Jordan more so) but most knew that they could be decent NBA players. Turns out they were both steals where they were drafted.
