Was just thinking about this today. If the Bulls were about to "blow it up" because their franchise player might be done then I believe Noah would be up for trade for younger players and ending contracts. We have both on the Kings. If we could maybe Toss them over a couple ending contracts and McLemore It might just do the trick. Noah's contract would be ending right as they were starting to get better again anyway.

Maybe they're going to go after Kevin Love?
Lets see, all the rumors around the league have the Kings being interested in draft picks, or young players with potential. So knowing that, why would you think that they would just throw in McLemore, a player they claim is part of the future of the team, and who their very high on?

Source says deal complete if luc passes physical.

I continue to be severely unimpressed by PDA.
Wait a minute....PDA turns 2 2nd round draft picks into Mbah a Moute and in turn flips him for Derrick Williams who has the potential to be better .....that's not a bad progression at all. No body wants our trash ( MT, Salmons, Hayes)

Williams basically couldn't get on the court because of Kevin Love. There is no shame in that. He is a good pick up if it go through. Like I said, LMAM by himself is not going to make us a contender. We are going to have to make moves that will require giving up talent to get talent.

It's really technically 1.5 second round picks. The 2016 second rounder (1), and Milwaukee has the right to swap 2019 second rounders (0.5, because our pick could get worse). I gotta say, if you told me we were going to be turning 1.5 second round picks into Derrick Williams (22-yo former #2 overall pick) during the offseason, I would have been jumping for joy. I like Luc, but it's going to take more than his defense to build us into a winner. Maybe Malone can get Derrick's potential out of him.

He isn't a natural pf, doesn't compliment cuz there and joins a team with 3 average pf signed.

At sf, he isn't a good defender or 3 point threat and lost playing time this season to Robbie Hummel.

He was a high pick and he's young but luc brought the one thing this team badly needed. Who guards anybody in the backcourt now?

I must admit, if this goes down, was really starting to fall for Luc... really felt he could be a part of the change of this team and a key role player cog much like D.C. over a decade ago

Picking up Mbah A Moute was the only move I actually liked this summer. It hurts to lose him, but this is still a win for us. We need individual defenders, but we also need young talent and in this case I think Williams' age and potential is what tips the scale. I would rather we trade any of our veterans before we trade Luc, but that's often the way it is.

Yes so effectively he couldn't jump Robbie Hummel or Dante Cunningham for minutes at either of those positions. There is a reason.
Sometimes it's about fit or style. Does he fit with twolves second unit or teams overall style of play. Fit could also mean the teams culture. A fresh start with a new team may do him good. It's a good trade for both teams.

You're trying to build a defensive mindset on your team, so you trade away the only guy who gets it? I hope there's more to this than what I'm seeing because I certainly don't want to go back to watching Salmons starting at the 3.

Color me confused and not happy if Luc for Williams comes to pass.

Doesn't make sense to me. LMAM was fitting well with Cousins at a quick rate. Despite his lack of outside shot, he knew how and when to cut on offense, and he's a top tier defender to back Malone's system.

I was all for trading Hayes or Salmons for Williams. Not so sure about getting rid of Luc. With that said.. I'm going to reserve judgment on this. I can see it going either way and I want to see how thing pan out
