Well except for some people wanted Barnes, and others wanted Lillard. All three would have been great picks (although I am not quite on the Drummond bandwagon just yet).
He's referring to what Cousins might have wanted.

As well as certain people who *ahem* could spot the massive potential despite the lackluster year of college. :p

yep, exactly what i was saying.

i think if i was GM i would have selected Harrison Barnes though. i said that before the draft and still say it today. although i did like Lillard after hearing how good he was in workouts, but ill be honest i would have taken Barnes over him because of our need at SF (which still happens to be a BIG need)

Barnes refused to work out for us. If a prospect does that and is still stud talent that you are enamored with you can go ahead and take him. But when it's a guy who would be lucky to go at your slot, it doesn't send a good message. Drummond, Lillard, Barnes, etc. etc., T-Rob was consensus top 4 (even by many top two), sometimes it is just bad luck

Nobody wanted to work out for us last season because the franchise was a train wreck. The Maloofs were broke, everybody knew it, and yet they turned down a new arena deal in Sacramento and insisted they weren't going to sell the team while every week there were reports linking them to Virginia Beach. And seeing how Thomas Robinson was treated, probably those players were wise to avoid participating in workouts for that front office. So while we're lamenting that we didn't draft Barnes or Lillard or Drummand, who's to say Robinson wouldn't have excelled on any of those other teams and one of those players would have been benched and then traded mid season for expiring contracts like Robinson was. The situation was screwed up regardless. We should just be glad we're finally rid of those owners for good.

He apparently abused a few players in the scrimmages. Anthony davis included

I saw a few tweets
Was trying to watch them on NBATV, but they are lucky and smart to make it almost impossible to deliver feedback to them, because the show was pretty asinine. Team USA is scrimmaging in the background, and we get closeups of 4 tools sitting at a table, then of somebody in the stands, then of a graphic, then some highlights from last year, then just anything but the game. Thing was the few times they did show him, when they were specifically talking about him, he looked pretty much gassed.
