Are you still sick? You should probably be the one relaxing. I am more than happy to continue this rather uncharacteristic conversation between us if it's something you feel the need to get out of your system though. Hope you are feeling better.
I'm feeling much better, thanks! Better living through Chemistry! I think we've already beat the hell out of this conversation, so its time to move on.

yeah, they showed Deandre Jordan for about a minute just staring at the practice and then started showing summer league videos...

Interview from USA camp today with Vivek. also shows Vivek and DeMarcus chatting.

I just watched this. The support Vivek is providing really warms my heart....and it seems completely honest. If you don't think the relationship they are building will make a difference in DMC's career, you're crazy.

Question, will the roster for the 2014 World Cup be consisted of the players in this camp? or can players that been on previous FIBA/Olympic teams join also? As long as the bigs from the Olympic team don't join, I think Cousins has a good chance to make the team.

I also don't see how player like Tyreke and Thornton didn't make the roster when there is DeRozan and Waiters on the team.

Another positive media piece on Cousins, this time from Voisin:

...What else do you want to know about Cousins? That he wants to remain with the Kings? That he is more intrigued with the idea of transforming a franchise than running off to the nearest contender? That he remained committed to Sacramento throughout an arena ordeal that sucked the energy out of a locker room and had most folks packing their bags for Seattle?

"It's a big relief," Cousins said after Monday's practice at Team USA's minicamp at UNLV, "and I'm ready to get to work and move forward with this franchise. It was tough not knowing where you were going to be. Now I'm going to do my damn best, and hopefully I can lead this team to some wins."...

In the very limited times I got to see(or that they showed) he still appeared to struggle as far as defending the pick and roll.

I wonder how our roster is gonna shape up if we do get Oden.

Players that have previously played on the USA team, like Kobe, Durant, Lebron, etc. will be welcomed back with open arms. In cousins case, the only player that might return that's a center is Tyson Chandler, so I suspect that most of Cousins competition is at the current camp. The US struggled against Spain last time around because of their lack of big men that could match up, so they'll probably carry more big's this time around, which should improve his chances.

Agree. Wasn't much to see. He did appear to be running his *** off to play defense and get down the court (both ways) though.
I thought the coverage was terrible! It would nice if they would actually show whats going on, instead of the three of them talking, or people on the sidelines watching. What the hell do they think people tune in for? If all they want to do is have a round table discussion, they could do that in a studio somewhere!

Man, how the heck you were able to determine that is beyond me. You've got better eyes than I do. I mean, they would show 15 seconds of play, and then show the commentators, and then 10 seconds of play, and someone standing on the sideline watching. I'll be honest, I couldn't give you a positive or a negative about anyone there from what I saw.

Second this. One of my few close-up experiences with behind-the-scenes stuff in the NBA was the relationship that Karl Malone and John Stockton had with Larry Miller in Utah. Without Miller stepping up and righting that franchise in the late 80s, who knows what would have happened to those two Hall of Famers' careers. He kept his two superstars happy by maintaining a close relationship with them throughout his tenure, and the franchise hasn't been the same since he passed.

If Vivek is taking the same route with Cousins, that will go miles toward securing the Kings future and giving Cousins a chance to mature into a star.

They showed us more summer league highlights than footage from the minicamp. Not a very good broadcast at all. Had to try and look behind the commentators/interviewees to see the game behind.

Latest update from Vegas

Sean Cunningham @News10Sean

From what I've gathered over past few days with Team USA, DeMarcus Cousins should be a lock for next yr's FIBA World Championship #NBAKings

Obviously nothing conclusive and just flashes, but in the 4-3-2 times they did show him in the background guarding the PNR he gave an easy dunk for the roller being slow with his feet and caught in nomansland just like he does with us.

Second vid, DMC says he thinks he'd do best paired with... wait for it... A shot blocking big!

Gotta think that will be talked about and addressed with big V, since they are consilting him on personnel decisions. This is good news.
yep, why do you think Pete is trying to take a chance on Greg Oden

EDIT: too bad this regime wasnt around earlier to listen to Big Cuz, probably could have had Andre Drummond

Probably could have had a lot of things.

Well except for some people wanted Barnes, and others wanted Lillard. All three would have been great picks (although I am not quite on the Drummond bandwagon just yet).
