Has anyone heard about Yo? I've been trying to find out how she is after that horrible spill against the Comets.

(Thanks, SORF.

I haven't heard about Yo today; but, after the game, Sheryl told us she spoke to Yo and Yo joked with her and said, "I should have retired. This wouldn't have happened if I retired."

Yo spoke with the HRR (Byron) after the game; and, she didn't seem to be too worse for wear. )

This is a post from over at the Houston Roundball Review that posted yesterday if it helps calm your fears a bit.

Thanks, Mr. 4play. I'm thinking she will be pretty sore (both knee and back). Hopefully, she did not awaken on Monday finding difficulty in moving.

I was sitting at the baseline near the Monarchs bench during the last Arco game. Yo had a pretty rough game, physically and was iced up and hunched over with a towel covering her head when she was sitting with her teammates.

She's a banger and a warrior. But that's what makes her so valuable. Before Artest came, SHE was our "Infinite Intensity".

Buescher is the only player on the team besides Griffith who can be arsed to show up every game. Everybody else needs to be ****ing ashamed of themselves.

Yo deserves better for her swan song than the way this team has been playing.

i understand your fustration Slimy, but DeMya is way ahead of schedule to me and doesn't have anything to be ashamed of. personally i don't think she even needs to playing as much as she is, but that is another debate.

i understand that things are now critical at this juncture of the season and it should be, but you guys have been here before and this year you have the inspiration of last season to rally around when its gets closer to playoff time. all you gotta do is make the playoffs and underestimate you they might to their peril. just ask Seattle what its like to disrespect a team like the Comets last year in the playoffs. the league may count you out, but this team knows what it needs to do as evident of last season.

I think DeMya is ahead of schedule because the expectation had been I believe that she wouldn't actually play in a game until after the break. But she's actually not playing any more minutes than it seemed like they were projecting for her, and quite frankly, she was cleared medically to play so the only concern they had about her ability to perform is her present game speed conditioning. And the only way she's going to get that is by getting minutes. In the Chalk Talk I attended, Coach T said they were going to start playing her in five minute spurts throughout games. That was after her 1-2 minute spurts the week she first came back.

If I thought anybody was dogging it, I might be similarly angry that nobody's bringing it consistently like Buescher and nobody's playing one-legged on fumes like Yo is. Collectively as a team they are struggling to regain that singular defensive focus they had last year and to have their damn shots fall. They are just as frustrated (from their comments) as we are in trying to figure out why neither has happened. But I haven't see anybody on this team do anything (or not do anything) that they should be ashamed about. The one game in which I was disappointed in them (the home meeting w/LA) I thought they collectively melted down and nobody was doing much of anything and it rolled downhill from there.
