Then came the beginning of the road stretch, their last three games before the All-Star break coming away from Arco Arena. And after Wednesday's loss at Houston, the Kings dropped all three games and are far from hopeful with a 23-28 record and five days off to think about it.
As of Wednesday evening, the Kings were 8-1/2 games behind Houston for the eighth spot. With the season resuming on Feb.
