No doubt.....it was a nice shot. Now I have 2 things to say.

1. McGrady blew it by taking a shot with so much time left on the clock.

2. The Houston defense (supposedly best defensive stats in the league) really really blew it.

definitely 6th. TMac also blew it with a ridiculous pass, and poor transition D, giving Marbury a wide-open lay-up just a minute or so before.

On tNT post-game show, they were shocked the Rockets didn't switch. I still can't believe how open he was. Jimmy J didn't even stickm his arm out.

I was expecting McGrady to throw up garbage on that last Rockets possession but he exceeded even my expectations. I got a kick out of the play where he threw that horrible pass right to Penny and Marbury blew past him for the layup. Vintage McGrady.

But Yao made some pretty bad plays too and their defense was doubling down and helping out at all the wrong times to give up lots of threes.

I try to like Yao, but his conditioning is so bad that he can barely get up and down the floor sometimes (even though the Rockets play at one of the slowest paces in the whole NBA) and the way he defends and doesn't really try to intimidate shots on defense really gets me.

There was a special on a while back that talked about the genetic condition that leads to people like Yao growing as large as they do. One of the side effects of the growth spurts is that they simply do not have the capacity for stamina, etc. that smaller people have. It's not conditioning; it's genetics.

Here's what I was thinking: Was that a bold move on Wilkens' part to allow a shot to be taken instead of fouling for the ball back? With just 2+ seconds on the clock to hit a 3 to win after the miss on the other end, I gotta give the Knicks props. Way to steal a W!!!

yah i heard about that. it's very intresting. it makes me wonder how long yao is going to be able to stay in the league.

I so love that TMac has a worse record with Yao than Kobe does with Mihm. So, so, so love it.
