With the apparent reports of Dallas shopping Shawn Marion for capspace...
..and our need for a legit 3, I decided to try this out.
KINGS IN: Luol Deng/Brendan Haywood/CJ Watson
KINGS OUT: Marcus Thornton/Jimmer Fredette/Hassan Whiteside/Francisco Garcia
BULLS IN: Shawn Marion/Marcus Thornton/Dominique Jones
BULLS OUT: Luol Deng/Ronnie Brewer/CJ Watson
MAVS IN: Ronnie Brewer/Jimmer Fredette/Hassan Whiteside/Francisco Garcia
MAVS OUT: Shawn Marion/Brendan Haywood/Dominique Jones

Why for KINGS: Well, obviously we need a 3. Deng can be our starting 3 for the foreseeable future. However, it does cost us MT and developmental projects in Jimmer and Hassan. However, to win some you have to lose some. IMO - if we resign JT, then our 3-big rotation is set for the future. CJ comes in as our backup PG and IMO is an upgrade. Bad thing is we do acquire Haywood's massive contract from Dallas but at the same time, rid ourselves of Cisco's contract.
Why for BULLS: Well, Marion and MT would be interesting to pair next to Rose and they also get a young 2 in Jones for the future. IMO - Marion and MT are a nice little offense-defense combo to put next to Rose. Thornton also brings way more offensive power from their 2 spot. Watson is expendable with the drafting of Teague.
Why for MAVS: Simple - they gain the capspace they wanted without losing too much talent. They gain Brewer to replace Marion and gain two young developmental projects in Hassan and Jimmer. They take Cisco from us since we took Haywood's contract from them.

Kings rotation, assuming we resign JT and TWill:
DMC/Haywood/Hayes
JT/Rob
Deng/FA Signing?/Salmons/Honeycutt/Outlaw
Reke/TWill
IT/Watson

Thoughts on the trade? Also, what is everyone's thoughts on Hassan being used as a trade piece? How long do we wait for him to develop? Could we use him to strengthen our lineup elsewhere especially with a frontline of DMC/JT/ROB?

Mavs believe they can move Shawn Marion and/or Vince Carter to create cap room, but are waiting it out for now, league source says.
