would Chicago be interested in Thornton?

Entity

Hall of Famer
chicago really has nobody at SG unless you count an old Rip Hamilton. the have a 5.1 mil trade excetption. Taj Gibson for Marcus Thornton works out money wise using the Exception. It fills a need for both teams. Chicago isn't a team historically worried about tax money. If we could pull off that trade then using Ppat and Jimmer as cheap but talented bait to take on some salary that we freed up from the chicago trade.

I was thinking something similar, but for Deng instead. He was already rumored to be on the block and now with Dunleavy signing with CHI, i think Deng could be had.

they picked up snell through the draft. taller, can defend, good shooter. don't know if they are interested in lil buckets.

on another note.. i can't believe the bucks traded tobias harris for jj reddick who probably won't resign with them. we should've sent them lil buckets for tobias harris.

I don't like the contract size. Only way I would take deng is if they take back Hayes as well as Thornton. so Hayes and Thornton for Deng and Gibson. I would be on board for.

Offensively, Thornton makes a lot of sense for Chicago BUT, defensively, I can't see how he is a major minutes guy with Tibs as the coach!

Personally, I think Bulls and possibly Bucks (depending on what they do with Ellis) are the obvious destinations for Thornton. Interestingly enough, both teams have pieces that would be useful to us!

Thornton for Bledsoe and Butler.

I would do him straight up for Butler. Help fill our SF hole this year and cap relief next year. Ariza would be another player I wouldn't mind trading Thornton straight up for pretty much for the same reasons except Washington has Beal already, but who knows? Maybe they want to roll with a Wall, Beal, and Thornton 3 guard rotation.

Butler developed into a beast no way they trading him for Thornton

Thornton for Bledsoe and Butler.

Good luck with that one! The Bulls are looking at Butler as their SF of the future. He's the reason their shopping Deng. Unless your pulling off a three way deal, I don't know how you get Bledsoe, who, when I last checked was still a member of the Clippers.

Edit: Unless your talking about Caron Butler of the Clippers. If so, then ignore everything I just posted.:D
