World Peace ejected after elbow to James Harden

A ban from the league?! Well i suppose if you're doing it on a totting up process you might have a point.

It was a vicious elbow, but in the grand scheme of things it's no different to throwing a punch, think how many times Shaq would have been banned from the league.

If i was comish i would have him banned for the rest of this season. (playoffs)

It's not just what he's done yesterday, it's because of his history that he should be banned for life. Ever heard of a certain Pacers - Pistons game? You can't trust him anymore, he is dangerous and, like VF21 said, next time he could really kill someone. The league should stop him before it's too late.

By itself an elbow as clearly intentional, vicious and with a clear intent to hurt as this one was warrants a multi-game suspension.

Given the fact that it's Artest with a long history of such behavior I'd ban him for the first two rounds of the playoffs minimum (assuming the Lakers make it that far). Absolutely disgusting!

I mean no disrespect whatsoever with this question, but are you aware of Ron Artest's history and conduct on and off the court? This is not a one-time incident and it's an indication that he is never going to change. What do you want to do? Wait until he actually kills someone?

Sorry, UK_King, but Artest has been given every chance in the world and still, when push comes to shove, his first response is violence followed by an assumption that violence will be done to him in return, something totally unsupported by the facts. And even then, he tried to explain it all away to the officials as just an accident, something that anyone who has seen the clip simply cannot buy into. And his comment on Twitter was damage control - or the other side of his brain trying to make up for what had happened.

Ron Artest is damaged goods. A part of me feels sorry for him because I don't think he intentionally and with malice aforethought intended to hurt James Harden, but the end result was the same. Harden crumpled to the floor and could have been very seriously injured. Blows to the side of the head and the temple area are nothing to fool with. People can and have died from them.

Artest cannot be allowed to continue to play because the next time - and I guarantee there will be a next time - we might be talking about a fatality. It is a risk that no NBA team or the league can or should possibly take.

Of course I'm aware and you'll see in my original post i said "if you're going on a totting up process, you may have a point"

Again, as i said, "if you're doing it on a totting up process you may have a point"

You'll find that some of us don't know what that means. "Totting up" may be English, but it's certainly not our English... :p

Sorry, "totting up" is just another way of saying accumulating or adding together.

so you would be totting up artests misdemeanors in this case.

or "the kings have totted up 21 victories this season" for E.G.

I think he'll be suspended for the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs with a 75% chance for a life time ban.

Metta World Peace has been suspended for 7 games. (According to Grant Napear.)

How many games has World Peace been suspended in his NBA career? Of course, there was 86 games following the brawl in Detroit, 5 games at the start of a season with Kings, plus multiple other times the hot headed, repeat violent offender has been put on ice.

Including these 7, I believe his total is now 108. He also had suspensions with the Bulls and the Lakers.

Artest should be kicked out of the league entirely. That elbow shot to the head could have killed Harden. So the next time he throws an elbow and hits someone in the temple or behind the ear - both lethal shots - the NBA will have a lot of explaining to do.
