Wolves Trade Randy Foye + Mike Miller for #5 Pick - Possibily Trading #5 + #6

If we dont land Rubio cause some other team gave up the 5 and the 6, i will be ok with that and just laugh at minnesota for making such a stupid trade.

The draft just got a hell of a lot more interesting. I don't know if it's a given they get a deal done now, but I think our chances of getting Rubio just dropped considerably.

Yeah thats exactly what I meant. If someone is willing to give up a #5 + #6 in a draft thats full of PGs with similar potential, there is no point to compete or fight with them to get Rubio. The wolves can go ahead and have him and regret it later.

I'll gladly take Tyreke Evans at #4 and be happy to know the the Wolves paid too much. The winner would be the Griz as they can probably land either Thabeet + Curry (if OKC takes Harden), or Harden + Curry or Flynn or Hill or a bunch of options.

Harden and Hill would be a solid return for them, I'm not big on either player but on paper they're good fits.

Wizards are so stupid. Foye is a bust from the beginning, Mike Miller isn't worth #5pick. Not even close. Maybe like #20 pick. If we knew Wizards are dumb as hell, then we should have offered mccants and Greene for #5pick.

As would I, I mean you get 5 and 6 even in this draft that is pretty huge but to trade both to get to the second slot is something you do if there is a real super star there...who knows what they will do, maybe there are two players at those spots they really want and didn't have to give up much to get that 5th pick.

They also gave up some bad salaries, but it still was a bad trade for them IMO.

you do realize foye scored 16 ppg right? great deal for the wiz...

Well I'm thinking this might be a pre-cursor to a Phoenix trade with Washington.

Ain't that true. Or even offer them Beno + Greene so we can unload his contract.

With #4 + #5, we would have PG (Rubio or Evans) + (Thabeet or Hill or Harden or Curry or whoever else).

I don't think Wolves will trade their picks for Rubio. I think they will draft PG(Flynn,Curry,Jennigs) and SG(Harden,Evans) with #5 and #6.
Then Wolves line up will be pretty good.
Flynn-Evans-Brewer-Jefferson-Love.
That's young players running.

Yeah they would be very very stupid to do it as we all agreed on. Thats a rumor right now, but I doubt anyone is that stupid. But then again, we've seen stupid moves happen before.

Maybe the Kings can work out a deal evans for the 5th and 6th. Pull a laker on memphis.

I am not a fan of Evans, I will be pissed if Geoff picks a guy that needs a ball in his hands all the time like Salmons/Artest.

If they don't trade the picks they're definitely taking at least Curry IMO.

It doesn't matter. His shooting percentage looks horrible.
He is a combo guard. If you want to be a starter as a combo guard, then you should be better than Ben Gordon, and he isn't. Not even close. I would dump foye anytime because he isn't worth anything. Not to mention he is a injury prone.

It gives the Wizards some cover if any of their big three injure themselves again (Miller and Foye are more than capable replacement players), but it doesn't jibe with the lineup--Arenas/Foye are almost redundant and are only a year apart in age. Mike Miller is actually someone who can be really good for a playoff team (which the Wizards aspire to be), and he's highly unselfish and can act as a pseudo-PG for their shot-craving lineup--just plug him at SG. With the trade of most of their bigs--Thomas, Pecherov, Songaila--I guess this means they have confidence in their two-center lineup of Haywood and McGee (who I think is underrated). I think Foye might eventually be traded.

Rubio is a point guard.......Tyreke isnt. hes a selfish player. Rubio makes players around him better.

Selfish huh? Where did Evans get this label? His team only went undefeated until losing in the Tournament after they switched him to PG. He's more effective with the ball in his hands, but aren't all PGs...isn't that the definition of a PG???? Would you take the ball away from Chris Paul or Derrick Rose or Rubio and give to it to your shooting guard or whoever???? I think many people see Evan's size and just write him off as a shooting guard who needs the ball in his hands like John Salmons. If you think of him as a PG, then whats the big deal about him handling the ball most of the time , like any other PG??

When he played at memphis he was weak unless he hogged the ball. you and I both know sac needs a point guard. Tyreke isnt a two, but when he played a two he wasnt productive.

There are plenty of NBA 2's who are ball dominant, doesn't mean they're selfish. What the Kings need is to get the BPA at their pick, period. Also, Martin score well off the ball so him and Evans don't necessarily conflict based off the premise that Evans is ball dominant.

we can get stupid too  via

martin for collison and 3rd

offer it 4th and 3 for 2 ;)

doesnt memphis covet evans? why not draft reke and hold him cause im convinced getting rubio is fading... seriously no movements, no news

As I mentioned in the other thread: crap.

Great deal for the Wizards BTW -- they had no need of a draft pick, and now they have their big three, Haywood coming back, the young bigs, Mike Miller and Randy Foye, and a new major league coach. That's a hell of a lot of talent if they decide to keep it all together. And did it while shedding Songaila's anvil as well.

I'm not as sold on Minny's angle. Getting the #5 was great, but giving up Foye to do it...in this draft is that #5 alone going to be as good as Foye?

i think they will trade jefferson for some one else with another pick too...

they will be eyeing thabeet.

i think they move up to pick thabeet, draft a point with the other pick

i mean they need a center badly.. jefferson isnt a center he is a PF
