Winning

The only long standing tradition here is a website dedicated to some of the smartest and most loyal fans any team could have. That "era" is not long gone, Kings fans back then, and Kings fan still. This website is a bridge between the fans that have seen the ups and downs of this team. Fans that were children of the Kings in that "era" long gone are adults now, and are still loyal to this team. The only wack traditions I see here are a long standing group of fans lasting through over a decade of time who can come here to see some familiar faces or nostalgia that will make them feel good to be in there company while they watch a team that they have gotten up to watch for almost the entirety of the franchise's existence..

But what do I know, maybe the time has passed me by

Heh. You're a classier man than me, @Larry89. I'm just here for these jokes.

Hitting the like button and practically laughing at most of the posts.
Ahhh....

What's really frightening is how many years we've been saying that.
Since their first championship in the late 90s, my life span has consisted of:
-graduating middle school, high school, and college (bachelor's and doctorate)
-I am now married and have a kid
-I own a house and 2 cars
-I am beginning to gray (already)

AND the Spurs are STILL competing for championships with the same 3 guys. I mean seriously, COME ON!!!..... They have won a championship in 3 different decades. Just let that sink in. 3 different decades, but essentially the same coach and the same big man for all of them, and most of those included Parker and Ginobili. Insanity.

See, here's the thing about that: the Warriors are an incredibly talented team, and the Spurs are an incredibly disciplined team. All things being equal, I'll take my chances against the team that counts on shooting, like, fifty percent from thirty feet out, over the team that never makes mistakes.

They aren't the trio with the most wins in NBA history for no reason

I'd rather see the Spurs. Nothing would spoil the mood of our return to playoff basketball at Arco more than 3000 bandwagon W's fans in the building able to fork over any price on Stubhub.

I'm guessing you've never seen Spurs fans show up en masse for a playoff game in Sacramento. It's not any prettier.

I lost count how many times I penciled them in they are done, yet they manage to stay in the contender list each year.

What about during the Kings heyday? I don't recall there were many bandwagoners, you know better as a local.

Not to the degree W's fans will and not wearing annoying yellow jerseys. I also went to playoff games in the heyday and it was much harder to get tickets on the secondary market. I remember doing deals on the old version of this board and then exchanging money in a 7-11 parking lot like a drug deal.

"Be patient. You are in good hands and good things are going to happen." - Vlade Divac to Kings fans

Truer words were never spoken. Damn, I love this team!
