Will Hart be replaced on the roster?

Now that Jason Hart has been waived, will the Kings pick up another player? Maybe a young big or a vet?

Any thoughts?

I would think it is doubtful. Just trimming a little salary for an unused player that wasn't involved in any deadline deals.....

He was let go because the Kings wanted to be "nice" and let him sign on with another team. I think the Kings should have let him rot on the bench since he was the one that picked up his option in the offseason.

Yes, I realize they had other reasons to let him go, but with they try to get another body to fill that seat on the bench or just suit-up Potatohead?

This puts them at 13 on the roster and they can only have 12 active.

My guess is: neither. There really aren't a lot of players available as FAs at this time of year, and Potapenko was never someone we wanted to play, his only purpose was to get us out from under Skinner's contract, and possibly as an ender to trade. There's nothing left for him now but to wait out the year on the bench, or to be waived.

Is Potapenko's contract over at the end of this season? If so, why not waive him now and maybe the Kings will get lucky and someone will pick him up.

Probably need the big body in practices.

Yes, it is up at the end of the season, and with the trade deadline passed, it's hard to think of any reason to not waive him.
