Yes! And way to go Kelly Dwyer. Your a real risk taker...

Hey, Baja! Nice new shades, I hardly recognized you!

Anyway, in case anybody doesn't know, here's the Kelly Dwyer article in question: link

It's also got a preview from Dan Devine and Eric Freeman, none of whom seem to know what they're talking about. Dwyer mentions a kid by the name of Hassan "Whitehead". Dan Devine seems to think Tyreke is no longer our starting point guard. And Eric Freeman spends 2/3 of his piece talking about a bad movie and makes more references (1) to Paul Westphal's "goatee" (it's a Van Dyke, but people seem to get that confused) than he does to Tyreke Evans (0).

But we should be expecting that. These guys don't know our team. They know the Lakers, they know the Heat, the Celtics, the Bulls, and it doesn't see the least bit ironic to them to rip us for having Donte Greene and Francisco Garcia deep on our bench yet never mention that in the absence of Paul Pierce yesterday the Celtics were forced to START Sasha Pavlovic. That's OK. Let 'em be ignorant, and in two years let 'em try to convince us all that they saw it coming, that they knew we'd be the next OKC. I don't care.

Ug.

I just wasted part of my life reading that article. I should have just left well-enough alone.

Having Salmons as a steady presence, in and of itself is going to make this a much better team, and since he's a veteran, and one we aren't going to have to rely on to score a ton of points, I think he will play out his role properly.

If Hayes can do anything to stabilize our defense, especially in the interior, then we're going to do well.

I wonder what these write-ups looked like for OKC prior to their break-out season.

They jumped from 23-59 to 50-32 in one season. You can guess what those write-ups looked like!

It would be nice to see something similar in Sac-Town. Having a deep bench will REALLY give this team an advantage as well as being young and energetic. I could see them being a breakthrough team.

Though to be honest, Dwyer is borderline retarded, and at this point on the East Coast, probably hammered when he wrote that article. I wouldn't believe any shmuck writer for Yahoo! Sports.
