Why hasn't Casspi been playing?

In my opinion i think that Westpaul should be fired this summer, The Kings players don't fit his Tactics like his old Utah Jazz team which had "the pistol " to coach them on the floor.

i feel like the kings players are wasting their time every game being coached by Westpaul
and maybe finding a replacement for him now would be the best solution and also adding a true point GUARD to lead them team on offence and on difference with Thornton being the 6th man while also sometimes in the games combining him and Tyreke with some good finishers we have

in addition i don't see how anther ball hogging SF would fit the kings science both Tyreke Cousins Thorton and Udrih can create for themselves

the starters i would like to see next year will be

Pg
Tyreke
Casspi
JT
DMC

I don't even know how to respond to this.

First, Westy having coached Utah, and "pistol", is news to me.

Second, for all Westy's faults, this team just closed out a 4-1 roadtrip against a prety good playoff team. After watching this roadtrip, I don't see how you can say every game is a waste for our players.

Third, please tell me where one person has asked for a ball hogging sf? I can't think of one person, or one post asking for that. We've only asked for a defensive minded sf, who can pass, and hit the open shot. In fact, we've all specifically asked for a sf who would gladly take a back seat to Tyreke/Cousins, and now Thornton. That's why names like AK, Battier, Granger, and Wallace have come up, none of whom would be a top 2-3 option on offense, except maybe Granger.

Fouth, you're obviously letting your bias towards Omri effect your objectivity. It's no mistake we've gone 4-1 since Donte has re-entered the rotation, and our defense has improved, as opposing sf's aren't lighting us up every night. Omri was the starter for a while, and his play regressed, yet you saw something there to make you want him to start next year, or is deserving of it? This is the NBA, not charity.

Fifth, have you seen what the Dally/Cousins frontline has done recently? Obviously not, or you don't know what you're watching. After seeing them control the paint on both ends recently, you'd rather bench Dally in favor of JT?

You do realize we just had a 4-1 roadtrip right?

Whoops thats not who I meant. There was a 3rd defensively oriented SF that was suggested, but I can't remember who. Green was from the pre-Thorton times when we needed more offense in the starting lineup.

The three defensive SFs out there this summer are Prince, Kirilenko, and Battier.

There's also Iggy, Granger, Wallace etc. if you are talking trade.

People recoil with horror at the idea of the old man Battier but a three year contract couldn't get us much better for this team. Actually might not cost much and let us get someone else. If you know better, please tell me. I'm not arguing. He oozes class and is satisfied with who he is which happens to be better and more experienced than anything we have. We need a starting vet and the best place as far as I'm concerned is a SF. I don't know what to do with a starting quality guard. Benching Thornton just seems absurd.

Wallace would fit this team although who our trade bait is not clear to me.

I am a HUGE Battier fan because he brings SO much more to the table than a lot of people relaize. His leadership is second to none. He is just a superb glue guy...the ultimate team player.

I am a little bit reserved on us signing him as our man at SF. He has slowed down and he is getting on in age. I suspect that his decline will be as rapid as Bruce Bowen's. As such I am not sure how much basketball he would have left. He is a top notch guy that demands respect league wide and I wouldn't be against signing him. I am just not sure how much basketball we would get out of him? A year or two?

Ideally we could get both Kirilenko AND Battier :)

I doubt we get 2 SFs in FA. What seems to be much more likely is getting 1 in the draft (Derrick Williams *crosses fingers* as well as 1 in FA).

Derrick Williams is a tweener forward. He is an undersized PF that can play some SF. The track record with those type players is not very good on winning teams.

I rather get a genuine SF that can occasionally swing to a PF if needed to match of on quicker opponents. I guess I am after a 3-4 as opposed to a 4-3.

This is possible. It is also posible to draft a SF but I think we need a vet. Why not draft Barnes and sign Battier with all the usually caveats? One guy's career winds down as the other winds up. Would Battier come west?

As I think a little more, this still leaves about $15 mil to sign or not to sign. The pressure is off. Thornton changed everything in my mind if you can follow that. Errrr, not you specifically.

He is a 3 in the NBA that can play some 4 as well. You count him out, but be ready for him to explode in the NBA. He will be a star and if we get a top pick and pass him up, it will not look good.

Omri will stay with the Kings.
Seems like coach PW is giving him some time to think about his current game and hopefully letting him practice hard on his weaknesses.

Everything in this league changes so quick...2 games ago a player is the biggest faliure in this organisation and good game after he is being called the future that will be built around.

I am sure Omri will be soon back, stronger than before.
Watch out Cisco and Donte..

And I doubt anyone will have a problem with that. Work on your game, get better, and if you really earn the spot no one is going to have any complaints. Same goes with Donte. For all we know maybe the two of them will improve a lot and Garcia will be able to shift back to playing his natural position.
