Why doesn't Mastrov-Burkle team up with John Kehriotis?

Glad the Kehriotis distraction is over.

Really not surprised by this! It was a bull**** claim all along! If he really wants to help, he could match Hansen's offer for Cook's 7% but I suspect he won't even go there!

It was nothing more than a ploy from the start, just trying to derail the real effort!

That is what I am hoping he will do now. That way he still gets a bigger percentage of the Kings (12% + 7% = 19%) and with the ROFR, can help block the Hansen group.

I can bet you that he won't! I wouldn't be surprised at all this stunt of his has Maloof involvement in it! I am honestly thinking this was a sabotage attempt not to get the arena deal approved! They know that KJ's bid is nothing without the arena deal so the way they thought that could be sabotaged is to have this guy say something about having a fully privately funded arena in Natomas!

Interesting that his key "investor" bailed a couple of days after the aren deal was approved by the council!

That 7% will stay in Sacramento's hands but not with this traitor...lets not forget that he was backing the Maloofs when they bailed on the deal last year! Remember he was there with George at that comical press conference!

I agree with this 100%.

There were other minority owners at that meeting too.

Wasn't he part of the original ownership to bring the kings to sacramento? He would be a huge traitor If he wanted the kings to leave for Seattle and he has business interest here in California. I guess we may never know.

Nope.

On June 8, 1983, the Kings were sold to a local business group that is responsible for bringing NBA basketball to the Capitol City, as Joseph Benvenuti, Frank and Gregg Lukenbill, Bob A. Cook, Frank McCormick, and Stephen H. Cippa purchased the Kansas City Kings for approximately $10.5 million. In January of 1985, the group petitioned the NBA Board of Governors for permission to move the franchise to Sacramento. Nine months later, the Kings’ Sacramento-era began as the club played its first-ever contest before a sold out crowd at the temporary ARCO Arena site. -- from http://hoopedia.nba.com
