Seattle Times - Once the upheaval from the coaching change settles, Vitaly Potapenko said he will ask the Sonics for a trade, perhaps as early as next week when the team returns from its five-game trip.

Since new coach Bob Hill, who replaced Bob Weiss on Tuesday, has decided to reserve minutes at center for Johan Petro and Robert Swift, Potapenko believes his services are no longer needed in Seattle.

"I'm not going to lie, I'm not happy," he said. "I still want to play. It's not like I'm 35 years old. But he's the coach. It's his decision, and I'll see how it goes.

"If the team doesn't need me, I don't want to be here. It's nothing personal. They have two young centers, and I think they should develop them and develop them by playing.

But we'll see how it goes. It's just so many changes right now. They got rid of the head coach. They got rid of Mateen [Cleaves]. There's a lot of changes right now." [READ]

Vlad Rad, some random other guys, potapenko, what's next allen demanding a trade?

Locker room is definitely a mess up there, and was even last year. And now they've managed to establish a culture where anybody remotely unhappy about anything thinks he has a right to quit on the team and demand a trade. Vitaly Potapenko demanding a trade....ridiculous. What are they going to get back for him? A second string peanut vendor?

As an aside, he's also an idiot -- the NBA has new rules in place as I recall about idiots publicly demanding trades, and now Vitaly noit only is likely untradeable, but is going to go lose a chunk of his money as well.

Maybe Earl Watson considering Nuggs need bigs, and Seattle wants Watson. I personally don't see Vitaly going anywhere though.

From what I heard, that was actually the plan. Flip+Pot for Watson, I don't know if it would happen though and I am also not sure if this would help us at all.

Couldn't hurt. Watson's at least a solid dependable pro.

Watson would definitely help you guys, need a true back-up PG. Watson being real solid and versatile, and could start on teams.

The Nets should take a look at this guy. He can at least play the post, and has a huge frame. I liked how he played Duncan last year.

Blame it on the hills; have you ever tried to drive in downtown Seattle?

Have not. I don't have wanderlust, but that's a town I wouldn't mind visiting though. I'm used to traffic anyway.
