We know the firing of George Karl is coming. It is assumed that Corliss will take over for the rest of the year. Assuming we do our due diligence and wait until the end of the season, who would you want as the new head coach of the Kings?

Also of note, there are a few other openings around the league, most of which are in larger markets (NY, LA, Brooklyn, Houston). I know that puts the Kings at the bottom of the list of head coaching destinations and our top pick might not be available (I'm looking at you Tom Thibodeau) so I made the poll multiple choice.

I left some choices off the list due to style and limit of choices available in poll (D'Antoni, Del Negro, Avery Johnson, McHale, Hornacek, Blatt) but feel free to add your own and why.

I voted for Corliss, but I actually don't have a horse in the race this time around. I think I learned my lesson by supporting the hiring of George Karl.

I want Vlade to make the best choice available to him based on what HE knows, not on pressure from fans, media, etc.

Other = Blatt

"Blatt has been widely regarded as a strong offensive mind, with a background playing for the legendary Pete Carril at Princeton, and having strong offensive teams throughout his tenure in Europe. His offense has been described as a "modified Princeton," filled with sets that utilize the pick-and-roll and off-ball movement to create good looks for his team. This sounds great on the surface; after all, this European-style offense is similar to what the Spurs have been doing for years."

I'm hoping we get another diamond in the rough, like Malone.

Dunno who is out there though.

Otherwise, would love Thibs. He isn't perfect, but his teams always played great defense, and gave 100 percent effort.

Supposedly, he isn't a great offensive mind, but with Cuz and Rondo... I think we'd get by.

All I can say - Blatt is certainly great coach, but NBA fans probably will not believe it now after all this Lebron saga and crap-storm organized by Cleveland media after he was fired. And Blatt not being in the proposed list just sadly proving this point...
