That's how it should be, but I doubt it.

I doubt that will happen but it seems the logical way to go. Our outside shooting would be horrendous but I think we could kill Dallas inside.

I have my doubts we'll try the kids together as starters, especially given the long stretches of struggle they've had this year. And so I figure Kevin probably gets the start and maybe one last chance here to establish himself with consistency after the big game. And then at SF...my guess is Corliss. With Bonzi out that opens a little room in the post, and we'll need the toughness + experience.

The Mavs with Dirk probably aren't the team we'll go big against, seeing as "going big" is tremendously and mysteriously disfavored by our coaching staff anymore no matter how dire our interior defense and rebounding woes become.

PF - Shareef
SF - KT
C - Miller
SG - Garcia
PG - Bibby

Now that there is no more injured list, is a team able to sign someone to a 10 day contract or do they have to bring the player on for the season?

This sucks. It reminds me of when the Kings signed Jim Jackson because of injuries to Peja and Hedo. Maybe Petrie will suck it up and bring in somebody.

There is still an inactive list that works very similarly to the old injured list. So Wells will most likely go on the IL if the Kings decide they need to add another player to the active roster.

As far as lineups go, I'd prefer the Bibby/Martin/Abdur-Rahim/Skinner/Miller lineup, but my guess is that Adelman will go with Martin/Garcia or maybe Martin/Williamson instead.

Oh wait, forgot about Thomas... maybe Martin/Thomas... that (unfortunately) seems more likely than Martin/Skinner.

Adelman Reacts to Kings Injuries

Kings Coach Rick Adelman
On Peja's injury:
“His back has been bothering him, he’s been playing through it, he’s been stiff. You know, the last week it has been bothering him, so I didn’t know what to expect. That’s just something there that has bad timing, but other people are now going to have an opportunity.”

"I know he was definitely having stiffness in his back for the whole road trip. I think he first started complaining after the Minnesota game. I just found out the information today, we’ll have to be ready to go for tomorrow with who we have.”

On Bonzi's injury:
“I know when it happened, I just don’t know the play at all. I just remember him immediately walking over to Pete (Youngman) and I could tell he was hurting. The play was at the other end of the court and I knew I had to get him out.”

On the starting line-up:
“I’d imagine I’d start Kevin for sure, but beyond that, I don’t know who is going to be the other guy. We don’t have a lot of options—either we play small or you have to play a power forward in a small forward’s spot. Everyone is a possibility—I think that’s what we tried to figure out today, as to what to do. We’ll talk about it, discuss it tomorrow and make a decision.”

“It’s the way it goes, it’s never easy. We’ve had injuries before, it’s a lot different because we have lost three in a row and are behind everybody. We need to start winning some games at home before you get anywhere. People have to respond.”

“I haven’t even talked to Geoff about signing anybody. We just found out before practice about Peja—I’m sure we’ll talk about it and make a decision.”

On Bonzi's injury:
“I know when it happened, I just don’t know the play at all. I just remember him immediately walking over to Pete (Youngman) and I could tell he was hurting. The play was at the other end of the court and I knew I had to get him out.”

Sounds like we're going to sign someone, wesley person maybe?

Edit: 500TH POST! Woohoo!

I am still puzzled about the Wesley Person fascination? A one-dimesnional scrub if there ever was one. Frankly I'd rather we call his brother out of retirement -- least he had balls if nothing else.

BMiller52 - There's a reason Wesley Person is available. He's not that good.

The Kings are beneath Sprewell's consideration level. We couldn't possibly pay him enough to feed his family.

Kings will win tonight no matter who start

I would have to disagree with you... This game is a joke to the mavs wheather Peja and Bonzi Play or not. The Mavs learned a little thing called defense last year as soon as Nelson left. ;)

LOL. Where was that so called defense when Kobe dropped 62 on them? Mavs are overrated, Kings still lose.
