Who are...

The whole tone is set by Ron Wenig, an assistant sports editor for the Bee who has delusions of adequacy.

The best thing to do is ignore them. The second best is to NOT give them any more credence by posting links to their lunacy.

Right, and freedom to say that they suck!

R.E. Graswich and Montemayor .... this Ron guy is mild and at least supportive of the King's.

From reading his replies ... he doesn't sound like that much of TRUE FANATIC King's fan ... appears he's just doing a job.

Id say Monte's more supportive than this guy...the again, Monte is quite obviously on crack.

It's interesting that this guy points to great rebounding when Webber is not playing. Well, if we take 45 rebounds as "great" then we had a lot of "great" games with Webber - Cleveland, at Clippers, San Antonio only this month. And guess what - we won those games. And was this guy writting something about it? I guess not.

Montemayor "takes" ... take with a grain of salt.

He has some valid issues with the King's ... some are WAY-OUT there, some RIGHT-ON target, and NOT EVEN CLOSE on others .... but, it's his job and he definitley "lights-up" the phone board on Saturday's.

Another reason to hate the Bee...
I dont totally HATE the Bee, Marty Mcneal is and always has been a favorite of mine, he's one of the most knowledgeable guys around when it comes to the NBA, and sports in general. So Marty is the saving grace for the Bee, in my mind, even though I cant stand to see what Breton has been writing lately, I used to like him, then he just got all grumpy all of a sudden. Voison I dont mind every blue moon, not all the time, though. I love Scott Howard Cooper, too, that guy is smart about the NBA, and is quick with the wit. So there IS good stuff at the Bee, you just have to ignore the stuff like what Wenig wrote today, I mean, its obvious he is totally ignorant to the fact that C-Webb isnt even remotely close to the greedy player he once was...and he's transformemed his game into something semi-'Magical';)

Don't get me wrong. I love Marty Mac too, and even AV has gotten better. I hate to break it to you though but they demoted Scott Howard Cooper and moved him of the NBA beat. Thats why he's not on Saturdays "Insiders" anymore...They scwrewed SHC, so like I said...just another reason to hate the Bee.

Dammit, I thought I heard a blurb about that recently...damn Bee...Oh well, still have Mcneal and the beat writer for the Kings, so its all good. I usually dont read much else anyways in the Bee Sports, except for the stats pages.

SHC couldn't write his way out of an English as a 2nd language course. I mean really -- sside from the fact he was a Lakers fan and apparently had a tendency to make up sources, the guy's writing style was convoluted to say the least.

The only thing the Bee has done right is take the guy off of the printed news. He used to write these "points" in the Sunday paper. Last playoffs the Bee finally wised up and took him off after writing just some incredulous/un-journalistic things about members of the Kings and their personal lives

The guys there were quite mean.
I hope CWebb would work very hard to prove that they were wrong. But frankly, it's not easy for him to lead Sactown to the "Crown"...

I can't believe so many Kings "fans" rag on their players like that. What happened to the old days when the Arco crowd was the greatest in the NBA? Sometimes I wonder when Chris Webber will just get a break. He is the Kings best player -- they need him to win -- thats it, period.

actually it was SHC's choice to get off the NBA beat. He has had some family issues/illnesses that hes been dealing with so he wants to stay at home and not travel. He still monitors the league though. Napear and Koz have had him on this year.

Better put the Talking Points crew on suicide watch tonight. Hopefully their leader will help them through this difficult time.

I cannot even begin to imagine what will happen on the Rise Guys show tomorrow. Luckily, I can't listen to it.

:D
