How do people hate the Suns? They've only been good for about the last half-hour, they play offensively and they don't have anybody worth hating.
Since when does not wanting a team to win mean that you have to "hate" them? Personally, I just don't think that they deserve to win; they haven't "paid their dues," in my opinion. If this were their third or fourth trip to the playoffs for the "core" of this team, it would be different, but I just can't bring myself to root for them this season. And I probably won't root for them next year, either...

Now, if the Phoenix Suns are still competing for the championship in 2007, and the Kings aren't in the mix, I probably will root for them. But until that time, I refuse to root for them out of general principle.

It doesn't. But the word "hate" has been used by some people here about the Suns and in the thread about Nash being MVP. And it didn't make sense to me.

Spurs. I really like how they play the game, and I am no fan of Nash since his days on the Mavs. And I am probably the one guy on the planet who doesn't like the way Nash plays the game. He's just not fun for me to watch, but then again, I get excited about seeing teams like the Spurs and Pistons. Defense and offensive execution really fire me up.

Plus, I always pull for Poppovich and Tim Duncan, and Manu has really grown on me.

Spurs

I can't stand Suns and their offensive only basketball.

PS: What Nash has brought to Phoenix is to change this team into the Dallas of old, all run n gun. The Mavs have actually played more D since his departure.

This is a tough one for me.

I love Jimmy Jackson, and am STILL upset that the Kings let him go (my, how Hedo is fluorishing with JJax gone). That makes me want to root for the Suns.

I hated Nash when he was on the Mavs, but how can you possibly hate on the guy this year? He does everything right, averages 12 assists a a game, and just flat out makes everybody around him better. I'd like to see Kobe/Tmac do that.

Manu Ginobili has become my favorite non-King player in the NBA. The flopping is somewhat embarrassing, but he plays with ridiculous passion and puts his butt on the line every play. His dedication and heart is commendable.

I can't stand Popovich or D'Antoni. I don't agree with berating your own players on national TV, and I can't put my finger on why I hate D'Antoni. Probably because he's just overrated and didn't deserve COTY over Carlisle. And the mustache is super lame.

I love Tony Parker. I totally respect Tim Duncan. But Marion is ridiculously talented, and Stoudemire is going to be the best player in the league in 2-3 years, in my opinion.

So basically, I don't care who wins this series, as long as they lose to Detroit. If the Kings can't win it, nobody in the Western Conference should. :)

I will root for the Spurs.

But my reason will be that if the Suns win, then I and maybe other Kings fans will be incredibly bitter because we played similar offensive style of ball for 6 years without getting a title and all of a suddent this team who just entered the races for 1 year gets into the finals??

but anyways its a long shot to happen, Spurs will beat them in 5.

Okay okay, I admit that is one of the reasons why it's hard for me to root for them.

Plus I find some of the SUNS players really annoying, especially the one that likes to imitate a moose. Also, the one that thinks he can pass the ball like nobody can which is true but still annoying when he does it

Imitate a moose?
LOL Richardson does it every so often when he makes a basket. It's freakin annoying with his two hands pounding to his forehead.

Got the moose like act from one of our KF members "Evenstar".

I really don't know who to root for here. I like Ginobli and Nash and it would be nice to see the Suns win for a change but on the other hand it's hard to root against a team that only lost 3 games at home all season. I just can't decide. What I do know is that I want whoever wins the West to win the whole thing. It's hard to root for me to cheer on the eastern teams (except Philly now but that's only b/c of C-Webb)

I'm going for the Spurs. I love Nash and the way he plays and how he made Phoenix better, but Ginobili amazes me on the court with the way he's been playing of lately.

Spurs. I have always disliked the Suns even before this year. Spurs also know how to play D and I prefer this type of ball over all offense.

How can a kings fan root for another team in their conference.
King4Life- you mean to say I hope they face Detroit and lose it all. Right? :)

I feel the opposite, if the Kings can't win then someone else in our conference better do it.
