Which of these players gets traded before the deadline?

If I had to prioritize need, another big wouldn't be #1. A big guard who can play D and who is a good 3 point shooter would be my #1 priority.

The "right kind of big man" would beup there on the list. I agree though it's not a HUGE need at the moment, but with the glutten of guards we have right now I would trade for a big man over another guard. Unless that guard was someone who we know could fit before he even stepped on the floor. It's been a chore finding a guard that can fit with our style of play so taking a big would be kind of my easy way out. Not to mention it would also give our back court more consistent playing time.

You cannot talk about needs and priorities, when it's not clear what is franchise's view on the current roster. Salmons has only $1 million guaranteed after next season. Will he go in the summer of 2014? I think he will be gone. So he should not be in any considerations going forward. Thompson-Robinson-Hayes - Thompson look like he's a solid 3rd big man, but is not good enough to be your second for a contender, Chuck is obviously overpaid and most likely to leave within 2 year span, so that leaves Robinson with the expectation to become second best big on the team, or Kings need someone else in that role.

That's the point. We don't have a big guard that can play D and spread the floor. So for me it's irrelevant if we had 10 guards on this team right now. If one of those 10 guards isn't a big guard that can play D and shoot 3s, I still want a big guard that can play D and shoot 3s (or a 3 who can do the same as another poster mentioned).

Or essentially a SF who can do those things, and move Salmons to backup SG.

Its still the biggest need for us. As good as Salmons has been lately, we really need someone bigger in that spot that can defend the bigger SFs in the league. A James Johnson with the current game of John Salmons would be just about ideal.
