Zach Randolph hasn't played a minute in the Sacramento Kings' first 10 games this season. Following practice on Tuesday, both general manager Vlade Divac and head coach Dave Joerger addressed the situation with NBC Sports California. "Before the season, we sat down, Vlade and I and Zach and obviously, Zach and I have been together a long time," Joerger said.

This is very logical considering the Kings new successful and fast playing style. It is worth keeping Randolph on the roster just so he can school the young guys in how to use their size in close. Randolph to me still has the playground style. It is very effective. I hope he is a good teacher. He has always been a plodder and at 37 he is slowing down even more. The Kings' players need to respect his experience and all the big guys can learn from him. So can bigger guards like Buddy that might post up some opponents.

No surprises here. Hope they can do him a solid and move him at the deadline to a team he can contribute to that needs cap relief and maybe nets us some help at SF.
I too wish Zack the best. It woud be nice to get something in return but honsetly with the size of his contract and most teams cap space I would be surprissed to see a deal made. I would like to be wrong but no deal is better than a bad deal. He is an ending contract and we could use the space next season, so I think it is likely we will have to cut him. That would free up a roster spot if Taylor works out or even Graberial.

Just keep an eye on teams like Washington that are floundering and need long term cap relief. We can send a team 30 million of expirings. Not sure who else out there is that bad and has a player like Porter or Oubre that may be of interest to us, but by the deadline I suspect there will be 3-4 teams ready to blow things up.

Add the Wolves to the list. Butler may decide that he needs to take a week or two off, which may speed up the Wolves' "process."

The problem with the Wolves is what can they give us? We were potentially going to be a third team facilitator but they've been absolutely ridiculous in their demands for Butler because Thibodeau is focused on saving his job and has nuked any long term for short term deal. If he gets canned mid-season we might be able to jump though.
