Where's the Love for Coach Walton?

Yeah when we win it's in spite of him and when we lose literally everything is his fault.

At least when we have Gentry we'll definitely not follow the same cycle we've followed for 12 years.
Sooo is your argument that Walton is actually a good coach but it’s just his crappy players ruining things for him?

no one is saying that Gentry is the solution to the coaching issue, but his offensive system is clearly the one more closely aligned to the strengths of this team’s best players than Walton’s which is aligned towards the strengths of Richaun Holmes and in his prior stop Brook Lopez.

Having endured several seasons of Walton at this point, it’s fairly clear that he isn’t the answer either

No I'm just saying things aren't always so black and white.

When we win there's a love for the coach thread and after one loss the fire him thread gets bumped.

But yes there are some crappy players.

Here’s the biggest complaint about Walton.......he’s playing some of these older vets over the development of younger players. It is dumb. Ok, you say but a coach is going to do what he needs to win and it’s the GM’s responsibility. Ok, explain to me how other teams can find time for many of their young players while still attempting to win. Memphis is playing their young guys and last I checked, they are trying to win. Zero development on guys like James who actually played well last year in a brief stint of real rotation minutes. Very little for Guy. Absolutely zero for Woodard who is a guy we can use right now. DQJ starts second game back and then is relegated to deep bench next game. Walton instills very little trust in young guys and is quick to go away from them. A crapty environment for young players to develop.

If Gentry is the coach and he continues to run Waltons motion system then clearly, the name of the coach isn't the problem. What they do is. If this was just guys missing shots and if he went to the 4/5 out spread pnr offense and it didn't win, fine, it's not workable, but it DID work! WTF! Walton is so clearly exposing what the issue is it's undeniable. This is the 3rd regression in a year and a half. You can't trust him, period. He had it right for a minute, good for him, but for yes, the 3rd time his ego got in the way once they had some practice time to put his stuff back in. FAIL!
