Are the game threads removed after the next game? If so, recommend not posting any comment you desire responses from for more than a short period of time.

Game threads are archived after the game. They are not removed. If there is a sub-topic within the thread, we generally try and split it off into its own thread.

IIRC, the reason we started closing them and archiving them was two-fold. One, so they - and the game threads - would be easily accessible for historical purposes and two, so the deceased equine that seemed to appear in so many of them after a few hundred posts would be able to get some peace.
