When A Loss Is Not A Loss! There Is A Light At The End Of The Tunnel!

I know most people will think I am crazy, but the loss yesterday I look at as not that big of a Loss.
You can really see the dynamic that Ron brings to the Kings, His qoute about making it to the playoffs is a perfect shot in the arm the kings need.
For a team who is only playing together for the second time, you could really see spurts of what the kings are going to have.
The main thing that lost the game for the Kings yesterday was turnovers, which there were quite a few from spacing and not knowing where the new player is going to be.
I also really enjoyed seeing Kevin working on taking his defense to a new level instead of trying to work the vlade school of flopping.
This Kings team when they get Shareef and Bonzi back and healty and once Ron gets his game legs back is going to be scary in the west!
I think these injuries could have been a 'blessing in disguise' since Adelman was forced to play Kevin and Francisco. Once we get our starters back we will finally have a few bench players with some playing time!
Myself personally I am so excited to see what can happen now with the Kings. Before the artest trade I was actually hoping the Kings would not make the playoffs and get a decent draft pick.:o But now I cannot wait to watch the games and see this new team develop!
There are 38 games remining and the kings need to go 23-15 just to finish at .500 ball. I am going to predict they go 26-12 and finish at 44-38!:D

I am with you on most of what you said. There is a new excitement and i did see more positeives than negative. I also agree that we saw glimpses of what we could be. We still have a very SLIM chance of making the play offs. However, we cannot afford to lose many more games in the process.

At this point, I will settle for ending the season with a winning record. I would prefer that we made the playoffs if for no other reason than to give those with no experience a taste so it will not be so shocking next season.

I, of course, hope the Kings can turn things around and get into the playoffs. However, having said that, even if they do not get themselves out of this deep hole, I will enjoy seeing the changes that Ron brings to this team. The big change = HUSTLE. His presence and hustle on the court in his first two games has made it even more evident that the Kings have had no hustle in them. It is fun to watch and I even saw some of it in KT and KM last night - it might be a coincidence, but them again it might be a contagion.

Pencil me in. I don't want to see the season end so early! Just the thought of all those dark days without KINGS basketball is bringing me down.

Having Artest, gives us another guy (Bibby) who wants the ball in those clutch times.

GO KINGS!

I think we're going to be like the Warriors last year -- a team that got good in the second half but didn't make the playoffs.

We could still do it, and I hope we do it, but I wouldn't bet on it.

My biggest concern is that we show enough improvement to keep Ron happy.

I hope next year doesn't turn out like the Warriors season has though. With a strong start, they are quickly fading. Baron is doing his thing, but it's obviously not enough.

Our major needs this offseason are the following, as always a post defender. Secondly we need a scoring backup point guard or a pass first defensive point guard.

I see us keeping the following players: Miller, Biibby, Artest, and SAR. I think everyone else is up for grabs. I would love to get rid of Corliss, Hart. Skinner, and Thomas have places on this team (although I wish they had smaller salaries).

I agree with Diehard Jim.
C-Brad MIller/Skinner/Sampson
F S.A.R/Kenny Thomas
F Ron Artest/Corliss/Garcia
G Bonzi/Martin?Garcia
G Bibby/Hart/Price
I believe if we are healthy we can win!

Bingo...you can include Bonzi in that also.
luckily we have Ron-Ron tied up for 2 more years after this.
It will be interesting to see what kind of looks Bonzi will be getting from teams, hopefully he is not a total goof like Mobely  who just bolted the first chance he got, did not even appear to give the Kings the chance for a sign and trade!
