Wheaties Box is OUT!

It's a great week for coming out (heh, heh...like that segue?) and the Wheaties boxes are out! They may not be on shelves but apparently they've been delivered to stores. Mine came from the Freeport Raley's store.

Well, there were no more boxes at the Freeport Raleys at 3 p.m. Crap!!

People buying things up to sell at huge profits on ebay make me sick. The greed is unbelievable. The attitude of, "Hey, I got there first, so you should have to pay me" is disgusting and selfish.

Now, ask me how I really feel.

I checked out a couple of Albertson's stores tonight in my area to see if I could snag a few for you, me, and Kingsgurl, but I found no sign of the Monarchs tribute Wheaties boxes. The shelves wre stocked with Wheaties, though, so I assume the Monarchs boxes did not yet arrive at these stores.

I'll keep looking, so let me know if you score one.

Got mine after asking. Even though this is a special event for Sacramento, they were keeping the new ones in the back until the current display (non-Monarchs) were sold out.

Incidently, I think the Wheaties in this box tasted better than any I've ever had!

Hmm, from this press release, it looks like we'd better snatch our Monarchs boxes while they're avaliable. Looks like only a month of the shelves for us.

Wheaties Honors World Series Champion Chicago White Sox

Wheaties announced the release of a special-edition package honoring the 2005 World Series Champion Chicago White Sox, following their World Series sweep of the Houston Astros.


White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle is prominently featured on both the front and back of the package. This is the first time the Chicago White Sox have been featured on a Wheaties package.

The new Wheaties box will be available nationally by mid-November.

Got some today at the Raley's on Freeport Blvd. They had 1 case left and don't know whether they will get more.

Since I just finsihed my writing for the evening, I think I'll pop out to a couple stores to see if I can scare up any Monarchs boxes.

Some stores have kept them in the back while they first try and sell the ones they already have on the shelf. You may have to ask them to look.

My chase is finally over. After combing the Folsom grocery circuit of Albertson's, Safeway, Raley's, and Belair here, I finally ran over to Ralph's and found a bunch of the Monarchs Wheaties boxes. I purchased a few, and there are about a dozen left at that store as of 12:30 PM today. I didn't ask if they had any more in back.

So, for you Folsomites here and in the vicinity that want a piece of WNBA history, Ralph's is apparently the only place in town. It's on Blue Ravine Road and Natoma Street.
