Whats up with the Warriors??

Hey guys.. I'm a die-hard kings fan at heart, but i'm also a Warriors fan.. I know they did pretty well at the end of the season, but please tell me that Mullin isn't satisfied with just the roster he has now?? I've been kinda waiting for something to happen- a FA signing or other- but nothings goin on.. (Besides signing their draftees).

I moved from Sac to Maine now soo I feel a little out of the loop as far as Bay Area sports goes.. so could anyone please catch me up with the Warriors??

I have kind-of wondered myself. I feel that they surprized a lot of people at the end of last year because they had nothing to play for. Teams will be ready to destroy the current roster. I am just not sure there is anything they can do. Nobody wants to play there and they don't have very many interesting pieces to go after in a trade.

honestly- i think the warriors really don't get a whole lot of respect despite a pretty decent lineup. richardson is just getting better, b-diddy (i don't know why the warriors forum call b.davis that) is finally putting in an ounce of effort, troy murphy is a double-double monster, and dunleavy is.... well, he's dunleavy.

they should trade tin-foyle for a bag of cheetohs. by the way, he has my vote as the ugliest nba player. perhaps not EVER (reserved for manute bol) but pretty close...

Solid backcourt obviously, but I think the frontcourt is suspect. Probably they challenge for the eighth playoff spot, unless one of those rookie PFs has a huge year in which case they maybe make it as high as the 5 seed. That's my guess.

Same old stuff with the Warriors. Every year its" THe Warriors will make the playoffs!" Then they end up stinking. The question will be.. Will Davis be able to play atleast 75% of the season... I highly doubt that.

Don't forget Pietrus, whose a good defender off the bench and improving offensivelly. Very athletic, also.

Baron Davis has had the nickname B-Diddy long before he came to GS. Don't know how he got it.

I would not be surprised to see them get off to a fast start, but how they finish the year will depend on the heath of B. Davis. I'm not sure where to put them, they look like a playoff team, but could very well end up in the lottery once again. Right now I'm most interested in seeing Diogu, and Taft play. If either contributes they'll be a very good team.

They do have a solid backcourt...honestly I don't believe their front court is anything to right home about and they don't have a whole lot in the form of defense IMO...

they'll definetly improve but thats far as I can tell...I am however am trying not to put too much stock into what happened at the end of last year...at this point and by the start of the season it will have meant nothing

The Warriors will grab the #6 or 7 seed in the Western Conference. I will bet a large amount of money on that.

Baron has lost a lot of weight, so his back shouldn't give him trouble anymore.
J-Rich is J-Rich
Murphy has shown to be a very solid player, always improving, though how will he fit in with Ike?
Ike Diogu is looking to be a terrific pick
Foyle... well, 4 out of 5 ain't bad.

Murphy could play center. Though Foyle will likely resume that spot.

I think Warriors will get the 7th or 8th spot, and be around that area for the season. Maybe getting up to 6 for a period.

I wanna be the Edgar Casey of professional basketball. I will continue to make off-the-wall predictions until one of them actually comes true. Nobody will remember all the stupid guesses. I'll be preceived as a genius for predicting that GS will be the 4th seed in the 2005-2006 WC of the NBA.

It's probably more credible than predicting the arrival of the Mother Ship. My chimp is better than your chimp. Everyone will look like my chimp when GS does it.

If you aren't joking, no, you won't. Because the Warriors won't make the 4th spot. Or the 5th spot. Or the 6th spot (maybe for a period of time, but not final).

Davis/Richardson/Dunleavy/Murphy/Foyle w/ improved bench - 7/8 spot - 1st round exit from the Spurs/Nuggets or Suns.

Trust me, behind the scenes Mullin is working his butt off. Most likely trying to unload the Fisher contract. Other than that I think they are feeling good about their young team. Will need a few seasons to grow for sure. I wouldn't be too surprised to see Mike Dunleavy moved this season, b/c I don't think they are sure if they want to re-sign him for what his asking price will probably be.
